Harry and Ginny: Valentines Day

Chapter 1: on the hogwarts express

Harrys Pov

We are finally on the hogwarts express on our way to hogwarts when ron speaks up "Harry did you know that valentines day is in just a couple of days right?". I froze and started thinking about who i wanted to ask and finally said to Ron "no i didnt know that but thanks for reminding me" i knew i wanted to ask Ginny he thought to himself even though he doubted that she was gonna say yes to be his valentine but you can never know without trying he was scared that when he asked her she would already have a valentine. "Harry Harry HARRY he snapped out of his thoughts "what" he asked Hermoine who had shouted his name. "Oh nothing I just wanted to make sure you weren't dead or passed out or something like that she said trying to sound innocent as if had done nothing. "Why the flip would I have been dead or passed out well maybe I could have passed out by the shock I got when Ron told me that Valentine's Day was around the corner but other than that I'm fine he said. It was just the trio no one else was in the compartment on him Ron and Hermoine. He thought he could use his side of the compartment to lay down and get some sleep simply because he was tired and still in shock about what Ron said Ron and Hermoine sat on the same side of the compartment so that was why he could use the whole of his side of the compartment. He fell asleep pretty quickly but after what felt like no time he was woken up this time by Ron who was shaking him and "Harry we are almost at the station wake up or we won't make it". "Alright fine but after we eat and hear Dumbledore's speech I'm heading straight to bed" he said to his two friends. "Why are you even that tired Harry you literally just had winter holiday" Ron asked. "Oh you know just the normal beatings by Vernon and getting starved so I didn't really get any sleep but nothing new" he said to answer Ron's question. "WHAT are you saying this has been going on for years and you never told us?!" Ron said almost shouting out of anger at his best friend who had kept such a secret for years. "Calm down Ronald I got used to it after a year so I thought that it was nothing special to waste time on telling you" he said. Hermoine finally spoke up trying to be as calm as possible "Harry you are our best friend you know that it is child abuse and you think that is normal just getting beaten every day for years straight without saying anything?!" Harry didn't really listen because all he could think of was how happy he would be if Ginny said yes to be his valentine and he imagined a picture of him kissing her right after she said yes. "HARRY ARE YOU IGNORING ME" Hermoine said now shouting at him. He snapped out of his thoughts again and said "sorry I was in my own thoughts".
