It had been a few days since I called Miss Vee and nothing new had happened. Freddy was still nowhere to be seen, but nothing strange or out of the ordinary had happened either. I went to sulk in Martha's office, but quickly realised she had a packed day based on the amount of people in the hallway so I decided to just let it go for the time being. Work was starting to get repetitive again since there weren't really that many new patients coming in and I couldn't even talk to Freddy since he seemed to be busy. I couldn't really shake the uneasy feeling I had about Freddy's disappearance though. There was something telling me it wasn't just him being really focused, last time he disappeared, getting a chance to talk to him was as simple as going into the janitors closet, he always had at least some time to talk to me. When I eventually got home from work I decided to call Miss Vee and finally ask if she could come over to the hospital and check it out. "Hello, Miss Vee!"

"Hello, Wendy! What's the matter this time?"

"Well, I just wanted to ask if you could maybe come over to the hospital to see if everything is really alright. Something just feels off about Freddy's hiatus. I don't know why it's just- something's up, it doesn't feel right."

"Yeah, I can do that. How would you want me to go about doing it?"

"Well I wouldn't want anyone to know I asked for you, I don't want to be sent to a mental hospital. Not too many people here believe in spirits."

"Ok, gotcha. Would you want me to sweep the whole building or just the places he's usually in?"

"Well I'd say the whole building. I mean if that Mr Zinc thing or something else did something to him who's to say it wouldn't hide him somewhere far from where he's usually at?"

"Yeah....well just so you know I do charge for these types of things no matter if it's some rando or my soul mate."

"Oh, yeah, that's no problem. I send 50 bucks over to an old lady every time I want to hold a séance at her house, I'm willing to pay whatever I can to figure this shit out."

"Wonderful, well it will cost you a bit more than 50 dollars for me to check the entire building since it is pretty big with it being an old and massive school building and all. Unless the size has expanded since the last time I was there it would cost you about 110 dollars for this service. Is that ok or should we settle for a smaller part of the building?"

"No, no, it's ok. I have the money for it right now. When would you be free to do this? Better soon than when my bank account changes my mind haha."

"Of course! I don't have anything planned in the near future right now so if you're up to it I could come in tomorrow."

"Perfect! If anyone asks you any questions just say you're here to visit me since you're rarely in town or something. If it doesn't work then call me." And just like that she hung up, like always. I didn't think about it too much before going to bed in case I changed my mind.

The next day, when I got to work Miss Vee was already there, she didn't look like what I imagined she looked like, but that wasn't what she was here to do. I told her about the rooms she wouldn't be able to enter for probably really obvious reasons, but I just wanted to make sure she knew everything she needed to. I got to work like usual while Miss Vee went around the building checking for any signs of Freddy. When she was done Miss Vee texted me to inform me that she found some interesting things and that I should call her when I was off of work. When I got home I called her immediately to ask what she found. "Hello?"

"Hello, Wendy!"

"Hi, Miss Vee! So as you could've guessed I'm calling to know what you found."

"Yes, so as I said there were a few interesting things I found while checking the building. The most peculiar one being that there were very faint signs of the boy, way fainter than what one would expect from a spirit just in the building, let alone focused on something."
