It became a cycle
Waking up in the morning
My arms searching for you by my side
And then the panic sets in
(WHERE ARE YOU?)
Before the realization
(NO! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE)
The sun would shine brightly
But I still see no light
Eat breakfast, and miss our conversations
Go out on a run whilst listening to the playlist we made together
Sit on the couch, and miss your embrace
Drink some coffee, the bitter taste reminded me of how bitter your goodbye tasted
Watch the afternoon, orange, yellow, gold glow through the window we would have heart to heart conversations by
Read a book, my eyes skimming through the words, my mind processing each sentence
(And with each I Love You, my mind drifts off to your name
I could never have imagined that even that could cause me so much pain)
Have dinner alone
Shower
Lie in bed and cry
My thoughts continuing to wonder why
Before I'm too tired to move
So my eyes are heavy and drift off to sleep
Before I repeat
YOU ARE READING
Spilling Words. Broken Hearts.
PoetryHeart sighed scribbles and painting with words.
