Felix

Minho is curled up against my chest, sleeping soundly. It took awhile for me to convince him to go back to bed, but he quickly lost the battle when I pulled him to lay down.

My phone buzzes as I'm drifting off into my thoughts. Picking up the device, I read a message from Jeongin. He's asking if I can come help him in the kitchen. Knowing him, it was a matter of life and death. Innie in the kitchen wasn't too good of an idea.

I slither out from under Minho, putting a pillow in my place. I walk into the hallway, noticing the unnerving darkness. As I go to flip the switch, a growl echos in my ears.

My hand is quick to dart against the switch, but nothing happens. It was expected, but I still had hope. I turn back to the room, panic pushing me to go back inside, but the door slams shut.

I'm surrounded by complete darkness.

"Oh, god," I say out loud, pressing myself against the wall. This can't be happening again. Why was it starting over? "Hyung!" I scream, shutting my eyes. "Chan!"

The growl erupts once again, except closer. The hairs on my arms stand straight, goosebumps covering my skin. "Go away!" I shout. Last time, I ran. I couldn't go anywhere now. I was cornered in the hallway.

Nails click against the flooring. My breathing gets quicker as I slide down the wall, pushing myself away from the creature.

"I'm not afraid of you!" I yell, lies blubbering past my lips. What would trigger it into leaving me alone? "I'm not afraid of you! Leave me alone, you bastard!"

Hot breath tickles my neck. I hold my breath, screaming at it in my head. I'm not afraid! I'm not afraid! Leave me alone!

I hear a whimper next to me, yet human footsteps pounce to me at a pace that makes my body freeze. I'm then grabbed, a high-pitched scream leaving me as my soul jumps from my body. "Felix, it's me."

I open my eyes, Minho kneeling in front of me. Throwing my arms around him, I let out a sigh of relief. My hands are shaking so bad. "It's gone. It's gone. Oh, my god."

"What? What do you mean it's gone? What happened, Lix?" He holds me tightly with curiosity.

"I told it I wasn't afraid of it. There- there was a monster in the hallway. It slammed the doors and cornered me in the darkness. But I yelled at it and it just disappeared when you showed up."

"...what? It just disappeared?"

"Yes. Last time, it toyed with me. I think we have to face it. I think that's how we defeat it. It's going to keep going around. We have to face our fears."

"Holy shit."
