Disease:
Psoriasis - a chronic skin disease that's common in Britain. It affects about 2% of the population and it's cause in unknown. It often runs in the family and sometimes occurs in association with arthritis. It may cause considerable disability by affecting much of the skin. Psychological stress may make this disease worse, but streptococcal infection is the only significant event though to precipitate this condition.
