He had been out of his room because of his nightmares, they never stopped coming ever since that day, and they make sure to always keep him awake. And like usual he went to his place of solace. The waterfall. Pulling his nightshirt off his body, he dips himself into the cold water and he lets out a satisfied groan as the water eases him. He submerged as usual and not a few minutes later he felt the water rumble, then he saw a body.

Thinking the person might be a spy, he raised slowly, his hands on the small dagger at his waist as he approaches the person. He stood rooted when he saw the person, no, a woman, and with her poise, she is oblivious to her surrounding.

What caught his attention was her back, her voice, her hair, these features were just like her.

Life must be teasing him.

How can she be here?

He was shocked? She died in front of him and he was there when she was buried.

Dave didn't know when the dagger fell from his hand as his body moved on its own before turning the lady around to face him. And behold...

No, that cringy shit doesn't happen.

"Who are you?" His emotions quickly washed away when he saw a different lady who was naked, staring back at him.

It was a minute passed before Idera's brain could function as she did only what her brain could process. She screamed and her hands automatically wounded themselves over her breast, covering them from the scary man in front of her who looks ready to kill. She took some steps back into the water, tripping and falling back into the water while Dave just watched her.

There's no way she could be a spy.

Or,

Was that her tactic? To seduce him?

Well, she's doing a bad job at that. He thought as he pulled her up with one hand. His eyes do not leave her face as he tries to decipher, whether she's worth his time or not.

"Are you here to spy on me?" He asked, his left hand instantly wrapped itself around her neck firmly almost choking her. To say she was not scared was an understatement toppled with humiliation because of her predicament. She had not expected anyone to be there at that hour. She had wished she listen to the witch's warning before she left their room.

She winced when his hand pressed firmly around her neck this time choking her, and when she looked up to the mysterious man, she was sure if the only look could kill then she would have been six feet under.

"Are you deaf?" He bellowed, already irritated at himself for mistaking her for who knows.

"Or were you here to seduce me?"

Even though Dave was asking all these questions but his eyes never waver down to her parts as his brain was trying to process how someone fragile like her would dare come to his "Carven".

"I- I- I'm sorry, I- I didn't, I- I'm just, I just-," Idera gasped for air greedily as he released her.

"P-please do-don't hurt me," Idera begged as tears threaten to fall but his hand left her body instantly as he takes a step back.

"Get out!" He had seen the look on every face that dared cross his path but he doesn't know why it affected h that he couldn't bring himself to hurt her.

"W-what?" Idera stuttered.

"SCRAM!" Dave stated angrily.

Idera heard him right but how can she walk to where her clothes were laid with his eyes unwavering. She wanted to tell him to look away but his aura was so domineering and he doesn't look like someone who gives a fuck about another life, so she went for plan b, which is walking backward till she reach the bank of the river and hastily tie the towel on her body before stepping out of the water, and running for her dear life. His gaze on her didn't waver until she was no more in his sight.
