Jay watched as the dealer shuffled the cards. "Guy with cigarette is the small blind." The dealer said as Ronin placed a chip into the middle. "Guy with cloak, big." Jay placed a couple of chips into the middle before the dealer hands them their cards.
The dealer soon hands out two cards to a player each before Ulmer comes up to them. "Would any of you like a drink to help concentrate?" He asked.
"Yes, I would like a cup of coffee." Zhong replied quickly as he took a couple of chips and started spinning them in his fingers.
"I was asking them." Ulmer points to Ronin, Ray and Warnie. "You impatient little twat!"
"Coffee as well." Ray said.
Ulmer looks at Warnie. "Senator Pantub?"
"Just water." Warnie said.
"Bourbon." Ronin said.
Ulmer soon turned to Jay. "And you?" He asked.
"Water." Jay replied, in his deep voice.
"Very well." Ulmer soon walked away.
"Senator Pantub?" Warnie places some chips down. "Bet: 40 Ninjagins." Ray places some chips down. "Call." Zhong kept spinning his chips in his hand before placing some down. "Call." Ronin puts more chips on. "Raise: 80 Ninjagins." Jay places some chips down. "Call. Pot is 290 Ninjagins." The dealer places one card aside before placing three cards down. The first was an Ice Sword card, the second was a Magnetism Staff card and a Gold Staff card.
Warnie throws some chips into the middle. "25." He said.
"Bet: 25 Ninjagins." Ray places some chips down. "Call." Zhong places some chips down while still spinning the chips in his hand. "Call." Ronin places some chips down. "Call." Jay places some chips down. "Call. Pot is now 415." He places one card aside before putting one with the others. It was a Queen Shield card. Theochet taps his cards. "Check."
"Check." Ray said.
"Check."
"Same." Zhong said as he kept spinning the chips.
"Check." Ronin taps his cards while extinguishing his cigarette in a nearby ashtray. "Check." Jay also tapped his cards. "Check." He places a card aside before placing another card with the others. It was a Lightning Spear card. Warnie tapped his cards. "Check."
"Check." Ray said.
"Check." Zhong throws some chips in while still spinning the chips in his hand. "Bet: 20 Ninjagins." Ronin places some chips down. "Call."
Jay throws some chips into the middle. "45." He said.
"Raise: 45 Ninjagins. Gentlemen, pot is 500 Ninjagins, show down." Warnie shows his cards. A Fire Spear card and an Energy Sword card. "Nothing." Warnie slammed the table in anger. Ray shows his cards. An Earth Spear card and a Sand Staff card. "Nothing." Ray sighed. Zhong shows his cards. A King Spear card and a Magnetism Spear card. "A pair with Magnetisms." Ronin shows his cards. A Glass Staff card and an Ice Staff card. "Higher pair with Ices." Jay soon showed his cards. A King Sword card and a Queen Spear card. "Higher pair with Queens. Queens wins." Jay takes the pot as the dealer takes the cards and shuffles them.

In the van, Zane, Cole, Gewuji, Simon, Tommy and Mantis listen in on the game. "Jay's won the first round." Zane said.
"Remind me not to play with him." Gewuji replied.
