I walked up to the big university entrance, scared but excited. Before going to my dorm room, I went to the Starbucks. I had been on an airplane all night, and I need something to keep me going for a little longer.

I saw a tall blonde boy, with broad shoulders standing in line. I walked up behind him, and he must've heard me because he turned around to look at me. He looked at me up and down before I asked, "can I help you?" raising an eyebrow.

"Nope," he said still looking at me. "can I buy you a coffee?" He asked out of the blue. I thought for a minute, I was running low on money and heck it was free coffee.

"Sure I guess," I hesitated ",but I'll pay you back." I continued.

"Don't worry about it," he said. He ordered a frappe and I ordered a coffee. Once we got our drinks we sat down. "What's your name?" He asked blankly while stirring the straw in his frappe a couple times.

"Ashley, but I'd prefer you to call me Halsey," I replied.

"Ok Ashley," he grinned and I glared at him.

"So are you gonna tell me your name," I said in an irritated tone.

"Yep, I'm Luke," Luke said losing focus of me and looking past my shoulder. I turned around and all I saw was a girl drinking tea on her phone. I turned back around to Luke.

"What," I said.

"I like her," he pointed at the girl on her phone.

"Aww you have a little crush in college," I made fun of him. He reached out and whacked my arm.

"I think we're gonna be good friends," he said.

I finally went to my dorm after talking to Luke for a while. I walked in I the room, and I saw the girl Luke pointed out. I just shook me head and threw my backpack on the floor.

"I'm Halsey," I said to the girl.

"Your hair is blue," she pointed at my hair.
"Tell me something I don't know," I said. I sat down on the mattress across my roommates. It was weird to me when people made comments about my hair because I was used to it being colored. I was actually surprised Luke didn't make a comment about it.

"Well ok then, I'm Claire," she said.
