How are you folks? I've been so busy ever since the pandemic and it seems that I'm having problem with my health these past months since I became COVID positive last November. Thankfully I am well now. So now here is the Chapter 6. Sorry for any mistakes and error you can find here. Well, didn't have time to thoroughly check this one.

Saint Seiya is not mine.

Melpomene was sitting on the veranda at her room as she quietly closed her eyes feeling the soft breeze of the wind the month of May brings. It was unusually quiet and her mind brought her to the unwanted presence she felt. Athena was already born but she wasn't awakened yet and so Hades therefore it wasn't the latter. However, that presence is somehow familiar but it vanished before she could identify it. As she keeps on mulling over any possibilities of danger while she was still here in the Sanctuary, she felt a strong cosmos approaching her. The cosmos of the golden lion.

"Pardon my intrusion Lady Melpomene but Pope Sage wants you to have this." Leo Ilias spoke as he showed a basket full of persimmons.

"Oh. Persimmons. Please give to him my gratitude." The goddess smiled reaching the basket. She pick one and offer it to Ilias which he refuses. Melpomene insisted until he finally accepted due to her request. "It's quite lonely to eat alone. Even I'm well-known as a solitary goddess, I still seek companion from my sisters but now they're not here I supposed I could ask you and the others if you may." And Ilias stood there eating the permission the muse had given to him as he watches the scene on front of him. The two enjoyed the silence until the goddess broke it.

"I was told you can hear the Earth."

"Yes milady."

"There are few who can hear the voices of the earth like Astraeus, Epione and Theseus all of them died. Some due to war, others due to disease. Only few died because of old age. Such sad fate but what I see on you, you already knew it and accepted it." Melpomene softly spoken still her eyes looking at the sky horizon.

"It's God's will. I'm in no position to change it." Ilias, without any hesitation answered.

"But then if you can, would you change it?" This time she faced him. The golden eyes hidden under the charmeuse cloth bore into his own cerulean eyes. Even though he can not see the muse eyes, Ilias could feel the intensity of the goddess stare. If he is other person who doesn't know self-restraint, the gold saint was sure that he had already removed the veil covering the face of the deity with him. He wanted to see how the infamous goddess of tragedy looks like. The second goddess he is willing to serve aside from Athena if he will be given a chance. After realizing his somehow imprudent thoughts, he tried to clear it up as he started to cough to hide his embarrassment. Such action is unusual to the gold saint of Leo who is always calm and poise. However, this only made Melpomene worry as she knew that the saint accompanying her is already been ill since then.

"Are you fine?" She asked. Worry lace on her words which only made the gold saint to cough more.

"I...cough...am fine milady." Ilias tried his best to stifle his coughing just to make the lady not worry anymore.

Her dainty hands then cupped his face and she quietly spoke. "Please face me." Though her action surprised Ilias, he followed her but what she did next garnered more surprised to the saint of Leo. Melpomene, with her graceful movement, she had put her forehead upon his. Such close proximity with the goddess had brought the man into slight panic but the muse disregarded the brewing trepidation of the gold saint in front of her.

"May the great Hyperion's light guide you towards rightful path. May Iapetus continue to lit your candle and lastly, may you, under my blessing, live a life that worth all your sacrifices." She spoke with full of warmth and love which left the warrior dumbfounded to the goddess action. Right there he felt something on his head. Touching it, he found a wreath made of azaleas and daylilies. Protection and promises that's what the flowers meant and for once, the stoic gold saint smiled.

At the foot of Mount Parnassus, there lies a cave the villagers called as Corycian. Inside of it, the ground shook and cracks started to form. Within the crevices, albeit feint is an enraged cosmos wanting to escape for millennia.

"You have been trapped here for many centuries. Poor child. When all you did was for her yet she had forsaken you for the sake of her beloved humans. Those humans who were also the reason why she had been punished." A figure spoke and the ground shook. It chuckles and continued speaking. "You hate them right? You hate them to the core for everything they did to her. Even you are here imprisoned, your hatred can not be quelled and I pity you. So, I will help you child." Dark skinned gracile arm which could only belongs to a woman was raised revealing a golden apple on its palm. "I, Eris will give you the chance to extract your vendetta to those foolish people. Thus wake up and spread your malice, Aite."

Once her name was called, the shaking cease as the ground exploded exposing a sylphlike young woman with bronze skin and red copper hair that was cut short to her midriff. Her midnight eyes bore nothingness but her cosmos spoke otherwise.

"This time it is your turn to give back all they had done to you in the name of vengeance for her." Eris sweetly whispered as she wraps her arms to Aite. "To those people who worship the two of you but then turned their backs, to those saints who divided her attention as well as love and to Athena who stole the rightful place of yours." With that words, the eyes that once devoid of any emotions, glinted.

"Yes...I'll take everything back and offer their heads upon her feet." The moment Aite spoke, snaky vines sprouted from her feet extending towards the cave's entry and slowly spreads shrouding the entire Parnassus as dark violet buds started to form.

"Ah. I can't wait for a large storm to come. Will your beloved Sanctuary finally wash away by the flood, Athena? Hahahaha!" And with that Eris laughter echoed all throughout the cave of Corycian.
