Someone's Watching

Chapter 1

"Wake up!" Mom shouted at the top of her lungs up the stairs.
"Okay!" I assured her as I rushed out of bed and dashed down the stairs. I checked the clock, and the time was 6:00. IN THE MORNING.
"Mom what's going on?" I asked, fear creeping into my voice.
"Somebody's spotted us," Mom mumbled, just loud enough for me to hear, but too quiet for my little brother Brady to hear.
"Huh?" I said quickly as she shoved me and my brother into our minivan. All our stuff was packed in the back like we were moving to a new town.
"We don't need to move though," I thought, ducking my head down.
Mom revved the engine, and sped down our driveway onto the road.
"Addilyn," Mom addressed me quietly when Brady fell back asleep. "Forget about that house. Forget about your friends, your boyfriend, and your teachers. Do not EVER address that you used to live here. Do you understand?" I nodded as my mom sped onto the highway, never looking back. The only thought that ran through my mind that morning was:
"What the heck is going on?"
