August"You have a perfectly fine baby growing love. Congratulations to the both of you." The doctor smiled.
We were at the doctors office. Corrie made an appointment yesterday, and we was able to grab one for today.
"How far is she?" I asked.
"Let's seeeee..." She said checking the computer. "You are 1 month and 2 weeks."
"Damn, I thought I was at least 3 weeks." Corrie said.
"It happens. You think your early yet your like a whole few months ahead." She laughed.
"Oh okay."
"Just make sure your eating healthy, and doing your norm." She said. "Your planning on keeping right?" She asked while typing on the computer.
Me and Corrie looked at each other. I gritted her while she just had a sad look at me.
"Mhm.." She said still looking at me.
My face lit up a bit. She was keeping it? Nah ain't no way. She was blabbing about not keeping it and all of a sudden she wanna be a mommy? Shit ain't adding up.
"Great Great. Well come on and meet the receptionist at the front to schedule your next appointment. Have a great day!" She smiled walking out.
A few seconds later we got up and left. I went to the car while she made an appointment.
Minutes later she came outside and got in the car. Then she started driving.
We hadn't talked to each other since this morning. And she only asked me if I was coming.
"You just gon give me the silent treatment?" I asked.
She just mugged me and returned back to the wheel.
"Corrie." I sighed.
"What August?"
"Why is you being like this? It don't make sense." I said.
"I'm not even doing anything." She shrugged.
"Take me to the fuckin studio." I gritted.
"Tuh, fine by me nigga."
*****
"She's driving me insane nigga! Like what the fuck?!" I yelled at Kordell.
"I'm still stuck on what even led to this." Jay said.
"Corrie pregnant, she didn't want it at first for some reason. I talked her out of it, and they still at it." Kordell said.
"Hollup nigga, you talked to ha about this?" I asked. "Why you ain't tell me?!"
"It was just something small man. I got some food and we was kickin it. Nothing more nothing less."
"Look, all that matters is she is keeping ya kid." Jay sighed. "But question, have you signed the lease yet?"
"Yeah, I did some time ago. The house mine now. But I don't even know if I wanna even move wid ha. The way she been acting." I said.
"Congratulations man." Kordell said. "But you just gon move in yaself?"
"Nah, well. Shit man I don't know." I sighed.
"Y'all dumb niggas ever thought about her hormones?" Sarai said walking in from the back.
"Oh shit, what's good ma." I said hugging her.
"Mhm." She nodded. "She's a grown ass woman going through some things. Her first pregnancy she wasn't really thinking about it, cause she's a youngin. Now that she's on her own, she can fully think about what she's gotten herself into. Be patient with her August. Almost like a 9 month period cycle. It's her hormones talking. Not Corrie. We just had a conversation earlier before y'all appointment. Her intentions were to never hurt you or the baby. She just wasn't, or we'll isn't in a good space right now. Maybe you should move her into that crib. Cause once you and bae go on that tour, she's gonna be hella lonely. So I suggest you talk to her and then surprise her with ha new house." Sarai explained.
