I decided to put this all in Dipper's POV. Okay? Okay.
~~~
I was still screaming my head off when Mabel shushed me."Hush, child. It's not that bad!" She tried, but I was having none of it.
"Yeah, sure. And you're not in this situation! How should you know how bad it is?" I yelled back, getting more and more annoyed.
"I don't care! I just wanna cheer you up!" Mabel yelled back.
"You two! Stop! Now!" Stan yelled at us. "It's not gonna help to yell at each other."
He was right. I angrily crossed my arms and sighed. "That stupid mushroom...there's gotta be a cure! Where's the journal?"
"Well..." Mabel sheepishly twirled a lock of her hair around a finger. "We checked, and-"
"Did you use the blacklight?" I interrupted.
"Doi! Obviously!" Mabel grinned, but her smile fell. "And...well..."
"Don't tell me." I muttered. I didn't want to hear what Mabel said next.
"There's sorta no known cute. Or whatever." She mumbled.
"Seriously?" I tried being optimistic, like Mabel. "We'll find one! We have to!"
"Even if we find one, you're stuck until we do." Stan piped up. "You realize that, right?"
Oh. I hadn't, actually.
"This is stupid." I muttered in my stupid girl voice, and brought my stupid girl knees up to my stupid girl chest and blew a lock of stupid girl hair out of my stupid girl face. This was all just stupid.
"Cheer up, silly! I can do your hair and-" Mabel started, but I cut her off.
"And that's good why, exactly?" I grumbled. The last thing I wanted was Mabel forcing me into girly stuff. That would be torture.
"Okay, okay. Fine. But cheer up! You look..." A look I couldn't identify passed over her face, which was weird. We were twins, I could usually tell her exact emotions. "Beautiful." She finished, and I found myself blushing.
"Thanks?" I wasn't sure how to take that.
C'mon Dipper.
You've battled monsters and evil triangle demons.
You can survive this.
Right?
