At the end of the day Anna's already feeling a little bit better. Martin has stayed with her the whole day to take care of her.
Now they're on the couch with the telly playing some random realityshow. Anna's head is in Martin's lap while he's playing with her soft blonde hair.
"Kjære, I didn't tell you yet, but the lads found out I have a girlfriend," Martin speaks up. "Mikel told them."
Anna slowly lifts her head. "Do they know it's me?" she asks alerted.
Martin decides that maybe now is a good moment to talk about their secret relationship. Due to Anna sickness, they didn't really talk about it in the morning. "No, but would it be such a big problem if they knew?" the boy asks.
The blonde girl sighs. "I'm just not ready."
"What's the worst thing that can happen babe?"
"I don't know, losing my job maybe? What if they think I'm telling you all the secret tactics?" Anna tells. It's clear that she has already thought about this.
"Well if they fire you, you can always come to Arsenal. But I don't think you'll lose your job because we're dating," Martin reassures his girlfriend. "You're way too good at what you do."
Anna smiles lightly. "Thank you babe, but I'm just not ready. Give me some more time please,"
The Norwegian boy smiles thightly, the smile not fully reaching his eyes. "Okay kjære, but please don't take too long. The lads will bother me now that they know," Martin says.
"I love you Ødda," she whispers while putting her head back on his lap.
"I love you too kjære," Martin softly caresses her hair and resumes watching the crappy show on the television.
They stay in silence for 15 minutes until there's some rattling at the front. Martin immediatly sits up a bit straighter. "No worries babe, it's probably my mum with some soup," Anna tells her boyfriend. Martin slumps back into the soft fabric of the couch after hearing this.
Not even one minute later Anna's mother enters the living room. The couple gets up from the couch to greet her, but the moment they're on their feet they hear a loud gasp and something dropping on the floor. The gasp clearly doesn't belong to Anna's mother because she's standing in front of them with a big smile on her face as she greets her daughter and son-in-law.
"I didn't know you were dating Martin," a recognisable voice says shocked. Martin only heard that same voice yesterday.
"I'm sorry Harry, not many people know about it," Anna speaks up. "Can you please keep it quiet for now?"
Harry nods hesistant. "Okay, but you really should've told me,"
"What for Harry? Wouldn't you have befriended me then? I told you on multiple occasions that I only saw you as a friend. So it wouldn't have to make any difference if I had a boyfriend or not,"
Harry drops his head so he's looking at his shoes. "I'm sorry, I really misunderstood everything. I'll leave now," he mumbles under his breath and exits the appartment.
They all watch a devastated Harry leave, until Anna's mother breaks the silence. "How are you dear? Got the test results back?" Her mother asks while pushing Anna back on the couch. "Do I have to prepare a baby room?" she grins.
Baby room? Martin furrows his eyebrows in confusion. Where does his mother-in law get this idea from?
Anna sighs loudly. "Mum not every woman who vomits is pregnant," she answers. "It's just a stomach bug, nothing more,"
Her mother puts a hand on her chest and lets out a relieved sigh. "Good because I'm way too young to be a granny," she smiles. "But I'd love a little Martin running around one day." Softly she ruffles her son-in-law's hair.
"A little Martin? Not a little Anna?" Martin asks with a grin.
"No because if she takes after her, she'll be a handful,"
"I can't believe you love my boyfriend more than me, your own daughter," Anna rolls her eyes.
