"What Can I Do To Make You Stop Hating Me?"

AT THE CARNIVAL...

"Why... can't... I... kill?... WHY!?"

"..."

Noe moved his mouth telling Vanitas...

"...I'm sorry..."

Vanitas was really close to killing Noe but he hesitated. He then ran away from the scene in tears."I WILL NEVER... SET YOU FREE!" It rang in Vanitas's head as he was running and ,"...I'm sorry...".

Noe could feel his emotions when he left. He wanted to call Vanitas's name one more time but he couldn't. It felt like there was something in his throat. Then he too, started to cry...

Since the day of Vanitas and Noe's fight at the Carnival, everything has been unusually quiet for the both of them and they're friends.

It's been over a week since they've actually talked and it's quite depressing. Even Noe's Cat, Murr feels sad for them even though he could care less about them. Some of them said ,"Just give them time to rest," or , "Don't worry, they'll figure things out."

Both Vanitas and Noe do stay in the same hotel room to sleep but it's usually when the other person is not there or if one of them is sleeping. Either way, they still don't talk. Not even a , "Bonjour" or "Bonne nuit". Nobody knows why they won't talk, even Noe doesn't know.

At last one afternoon, Noe had enough of staying silent. He wanted to resolve things and get back to the way it used to be for the both of them and they're friends. So, Noe waited for Vanitas to arrive at they're room. He didn't care how long he'd take. As long as Vanitas showed up, that'll be good enough for him.

10PM
Then finally after three hours of waiting...Vanitas comes and slowly opens the door to make sure Noe isn't there. He'd usually come through the window but it was locked which was a pain in the ass. Luckily, Noe knows Vanitas checks the room for him so he hid behind where Vanitas opened the door. As Vanitas walks in the room, Noe locks the door behind him.

Vanitas jumps up a little from the sudden situation and for a couple of seconds, his eyes meet up with Noe's eyes. He quickly turned his head and got onto his bed. As Noe watched the grumpy boy, he was deciding on what to say and took a deep breath in and out.

"I-uhm... Va-Vanitas?" Noe said shyly.

There was no answer from the tired Vanitas.

"..."

"..."

The room was dead silent and all you could hear was the wind brushing against the glass windows and the small litted candle that lit up they're room.

"Vanitas... We should talk," Noe said trying a second time.

"...mmhrrm," Vanitas mumbled as he grabbed his pillow and covered up his head.

"Please Vanitas. I know you hate me but I want to resolve our problem. It's been a week without us talking but, it feels like months had gone by."

"..."

"Whatever had happen back at that Carnival, I want to apologize for what I've done. I still don't even know you well and that sickens me. We were both in a tough situation..."

"..."

"I'm sorry again. Is there anything you'd like me to do? In that case... what can I do to make you stop hating me...Vanitas?"

Once Vanitas heard that last part, he slowly put his pillow to the side, stared at the ceiling, and then stared at Noe.

"..." Noe stayed silent but also stared at Vanitas trying not to break a sweat.
