Camilla's eyes fluttered open, and as the sun hit her face, a smile formed on her face.
She jumped up, grabbed the clock next to her on the nightstand. She looked at the time.
9:45.
She flung out of bed, running to go eat breakfast and then get ready.
As she passed the mirror, she realized how happy she looked. She dropped the smile, trying to act as natural as possible before going to everyone.
"But why Tony is a nice boy!" Maria yelled at Bernardo.
"¡Tony!" Bernardo laughed and looked at Anita, "Oiste eso? Tony!"
"Tony! Who cares if he's a- I don't know what he is- a, a yanqui!" Maria exclaimed.
"He's a polack. That's what he is. A big dumb polack!" Bernardo told her sitting down.
"Buenos Dias!" She cut in between, kissing Maria on the cheek.
They all looked at her confused. "What's got you so happy?" Maria asked.
"What? I can't say good morning?" Camilla asked.
"You can but you usually don't." Anita giggled.
Camilla just smiled and grabbed muffin from the cabinet.
"Camilla, Maria is making eggs. You need to eat some real food." Bernardo said to her.
"No I'm good." Camilla smiled before shutting her door, leaving the her two cousins to start fighting again.
She quickly ate her muffin, almost choking while she slid in her socks to choose a dress.
After spending a bit too much on picking a dress, she then slipped out of her nightgown, stepping into a regular day dress.
She threw black heeled shoes and looked at the time. She didn't even have enough time to put makeup on. Why did she have to pick a dress for 30 minutes.
She had to get to Valentina's, so she forgot about the makeup, and grabbed her purse.
She walked out of her room, Bernardo catching her walking out with a quick pace.
"Where are you going off to so quickly?" He asked, catching Maria's attention.
"I'm going Valentina's, help her with the shop." She partially lied, "But I'm already running late so I have to go."
"Alright be careful." Bernardo said.
"I will, adios." She said, closing the door behind her. As she did she grinned and started to rush to Valentina's.
"She's most definitely not going to Valentina's." Maria chuckled.
Bernardo looked at her confused, "What do you mean?"
