I'm feeling better now, better than I was after the recent episode ended. Thought I would post something light-hearted to take my mind off of certain things. It's just me making headcanons and theories about Keiji's character again, lol, but I do mention bones of course. ;)

So...Luna gets injured! Like holy crap, I got scared because I didn't expect her of all people to get hurt! And in the first chapter too! Ayuna takes her to the infirmary and-

———— A/N: Besties, you know if Keiji is present in an episode, I have to talk about him here.✨ It's an unspoken rule that you may or may not have picked up on already.
The contrast between canon and fanon Keiji is absolutely hilarious. We got the Bone Cult, we got the Church of Kable, skeleton memes, Keiji on a Tractor, Nurse Keiji, Vampire Keiji, that one ASMR Keiji audio, etc.! It's just Keiji being chaotic neutral and ambiguously flirty.
And then there's canon Keiji, who would most likely look at all of the content made about him and be silently judging us from afar.
I would die on the spot if that happened (if he was real).
((I can imagine that new/casual DDN fans are going to find this book several months after watching Deadication and be like, "Why is the stoic and serious surgeon character wearing a maid nurse outfit and playfully threatening to steal people's bones?"😐

Nah but for real, new headcanon that Keiji pushes himself to be better at surgery that he tends to overlooks minor injuries. If it's something that doesn't require his immediate attention that requires surgery (ex. Luna's bruise, small cuts, first degree burns, etc.), he's not going to treat it. Sort of ties in with my backstory headcanons for Keiji, especially for the Acrobat!Keiji AU backstory; younger Keiji didn't really care about his health but he cared about other's health no matter how minor it was. After his amputation (and switching from entertainer to doctor/surgeon in the Acrobat AU backstory), he begins to realize how important his heath is and how major injuries requiring surgery need attention. In realizing this, he becomes more strict and becomes a surgeon to prevent people from dying.
Of course, however, I wrote a oneshot with Keiji treating Yuuma's injury (which didn't necessarily require surgery) so...it could make for some cool character development! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Another theory for this is that he's become overwhelmed with treating lesser injuries because people were like "Oh noes I have smol paper-cut, help me doctor UwU" which a person should be able to treat on their own. This put Keiji under pressure and he's refrained from treating minor injuries because of the constant reliance on him (COUGHCOUGHLUISACOUGHJULIETTACOUGHCOUGHCOUGH). Though I imagine he's less harsh/apathetic with younger kids about this since they hardly know how to tend to their wounds.
But let's be real, we all know why Keiji didn't help. He just wanted to look at skeletons and X-rays man!🥺 If a part of Luna's skeleton was damaged, he would have been overjoyed. Imagine how disappointed he felt hearing that Luna's wound was a mere punch to the face.😢😢😢 /j
