"So what's your name?" The boy asked. "I'm T.J."
I am not going to say anything. I feel awkward already.
"Are you a friend of Stan's?" T.J. asked. I am silent.
"Look I'm really sorry about earlier. I didn't know that the bathroom was connected to another room." He finally says.
Well then, more news to me. I didn't know that either. I mean you don't just ask 'Hey. Is there another room connected with my bathroom?' No I don't think so. But at the mention of the incident I felt embarrassed. I kept my head down. Still silent. T.J. sighed. How long is this ride?
~~~~~~~~~
Finally at the beach. The rest of that ride had a completely awkward silence. So bad that I wanted to duck and roll out of that damn truck! I reached the sand, and it's really hot. I put my hand up above my eyes to shade them from the bright and searched for everybody else.
"Maree!" I heard someone call. I looked over to the direction of the voice and instantly spotted Landon waving his hands like an idiot.
I walked over to them and sat on the blanket that they had lie out. I sat down and the sun was blinding me. I reached down to my pocket and felt nothing.
"Shit." I said to myself.
"What?" Laney asked.
"I forgot my damn sunglasses." I told her.
"Here! You can use mine, I'll be out in the water." T.J. offering to me. I squinted to try and see what he looks like, but to no avail.
I grabbed the glasses. "Thanks." I muttered. I sat in the sun, with the clothes still over my bathing suit. And it's getting super heated. But I will not take these clothes off and expose my skin even more. Uh-uh, nope, not happening.
"Maree, your sweating like crazy. It is seriously running down your face like you just came from a run. I see your bathing suit underneath, so you can't make an excuse to not take your clothes off. Now, take them off." Laney complained to me.
I crossed my arms and shook my head. Laney raised her left eyebrow.
"Take them off." She said a bit more stern.
"No." I said seriously, and straight forward.
"Now." Laney demanded.
"No." I'm not going to break my stubbornness.
"Take. Them. Off." I can hear the annoyed anger in her voice.
"Like I said. I. Don't. Want. To." I mimicked the same tone.
And this is where I find myself in the sand. What the hell? Now I see Laney, on top of me, pulling at me.
"Get the hell off!" I yelled.
"Take off your clothes!" Laney yelled back.
In the background I can here the boys making their perverted noises. Where is Trinna?
"Trinna! Trinna! Help!" I called. Nothing. Jesus Christ, where is my family when I need them.
"Trinna isn't here. She's in the bathroom." Laney huffed, pulling at my shirt trying to yank it off.
"Get off!" I yelled more.
"NEVER!" Laney screamed.
That's when this popped into my head.
"RAPE! RAPE! RAPE!" I screamed over and over again. I hate that Laney is stronger than me. She looks like a twig-bitch, but underneath it all she's a female body builder.
I heard a rip and then the cool breeze on my bare skin. Shirt destroyed. Next thing I know my shorts are gone. Damn. When Laney finally go off me I stood straight. I am beyond angry. This was embarrassing. "Laney! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL WHEN IT COMES TO THAT!" I hollered at her.
"Maree just ch-" Laney started.
"NO I WON'T!" Tears brimmed my eyes. Then they quickly started to fall. "Just because you don't have to worry about it, doesn't me that I don't either." I angrily and mumbl-ishly said.
"Maree I'm sorry. Here you go." Laney looked sad, that mad me said, yet she also seemed a little surprised.
"No Laney, I am so sorry for blowing up on you." I told her sitting down with her. "Besides, I need a tan anyways" I laughed. Laney laughed too and we both hugged.
Laney and I's relationship is where we'll fight then instantly make up. I adjusted the sunglasses T.J. let me borrow and layed back.
~~~~~~~~~~~
We're home finally. Shower time. I ran up to my room and then peeked in the bathroom. Coast all clear, I went into the bathroom then locked every brown door in there.
