One Final Note

Chapter 3: Perfect Date

Daniel's P.O.V.

Ok, this date has to be perfect. I have to prove to Susan that I really like her. I need some help. I need professional help. The first person that ran through my mind was Elizabeth. Elizabeth is my best friend and currently, she is an actress. Luckily, she just finished her movie so she is back in California. We are very good friends and we still talk. I met her when I was 5 years old. She was the only person besides Susan who knew who I really was. She lives near me so I guess I could talk to her. I went to my contacts and dialed her number. It started ringing, after 4 rings she picked up the phone.

-Phone Convo-

Daniel: Hey

Elizabeth: Hey, why'd you call?

Daniel: I met this girl named Susan and I asked her out on a date.

Elizabeth: That's great!

Daniel: Anyways, I'm still figuring out what to do so I need help from you. I need to plan the perfect date so I was wondering if you could help me?

Elizabeth: Sure, I don't see why not.

Daniel: So can I come over to your place?

Elizabeth: Wait when's the date?

Daniel: Tomorrow, 6pm

Elizabeth: We need to do this fast. Come over.

Daniel: Be there in 5, bye!

-End of phone convo-

I quickly drove to Elizabeth's house. I went here a lot because we're technically family friends. It's super cool to stay here. She has 2 brothers which are both older than her and when I come over, I usually play video games with them. She has a very nice family and I know all of them so I guess I'm in a good relationship with all of them. I knocked on her door to see Ms. Fanner.

Ms. Fanner: Oh, nice to see you, Daniel.

Daniel: It's nice to see you too so may I come in now?

She moved aside so I can enter and closed the door. I know where Elizabeth's room is so I can just go straight to the stairs.

Daniel: Bye! Have a good day Ms. Fanner.

Ms. Fanner: You too sweetie and pls call me Dawn.

I ran quickly to Elizabeth's room and gently knocked on it. She opened the door and she was on the phone so I'm guessing that she was talking to someone. I went in her room and sat in her bed while she continued talking in the phone. It took 5 minutes for her to finish. She approached me and sat beside me.

Elizabeth: So first, what's your idea for a perfect first date?

Daniel: We could go to 6 flags and go to my basement and rock on Guitar Hero.

Elizabeth: Ok, that is what boys would do. You have to make it romantic, how about a picnic in the park?

Daniel: That actually sounds great.

Elizabeth suddenly stood up and went to the restroom. When she came out, she changed her clothes. She was looking a little decent and applied make-up on.

Daniel: Why are you dressed like that?

Elizabeth: We're going to go to the park and check the most romantic spot there. We're also going to practice your date because you look like you're going to mess up. I rolled my eyes then got up.

I opened the door for her and we drove to the park. I guess it was a 10 minute drive. I wanted to be gentleman so I rushed to her side and opened the door for her. We walked to the edge of the park where we saw an overview of a lake. It looked amazing on how the moonlight could reflect on the water.

Daniel: This is the spot on where we're gonna have it.

Elizabeth: I agree so let's start practicing.

Daniel: How about I sing a song in front of her then I sit next to her.

Elizabeth: That's a good start.

Daniel: And I'll put my arm on her (puts his arm on her) and I'll make her face me.

Elizabeth: She'll nuzzle up to your chest (cuddles with him) and meet your gaze. (looks at him)

Daniel: Then I'll start to lean in (leans in).

Elizabeth: And she'll lean in too (leans in.)

Then suddenly, my lips and her lips connect and I don't know what I'm doing. I kissed her and she kissed back. I remember that this is not part of the plan and pulled away. I just cheated on Susan but she'll never know right? What she doesn't know won't hurt her. I looked at her and suddenly got interrupted by a girl behind us crying. It was Susan. She watched us. This is bad, it's really really bad. She ran away crying and I looked back at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: That was a mistake.

I nodded and got up and ran after Susan. I saw her sitting on a bench with her head down. I sat down beside her quietly so she would not run away after knowing that it was me. I sighed and I saw her peek as she lifted her head a little.

Susan's P.O.V.

I don't know this happened. I'm sitting on a bench crying and it feels like my heart broke into a million pieces. At first, I saw this couple having a picnic and it looked so cute. I wanted to see them and I wished that Daniel and I were like that. I looked closer and it turned out that it was Daniel. It looked like he was practicing with someone and I knew how much it meant for the both of us. I saw them kiss and it felt like I got stabbed. When they pulled away, I couldn't keep my sorrow in anymore so I made an involuntary noise. I ran away as fast as I can and started crying on this bench. I heard someone sit beside me so I peeked a little bit and saw Daniel. I quickly got up and ran away but he grabbed my wrist.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I yelled angrily.

"To talk" He said. I yanked my arm out of his grip and quickly ran away until I heard a honk and a car coming my way. Next thing I see is black and darkness, it is slowly conquering my body. I hear someone's voice "Somebody call an ambulance". Someone lifted my head and even though I can't see anything, I can feel what is going on.

"Please don't go, I love you." That was the voice of the same person who broke me heart. I started feeling numb and I passed out.
