Alec
It was close to midnight when I saw her for the first time. Looking back at it I wish I had never met. Because now I know that she would be my downfall. What was I thinking, she looked like she was insane. Her brown hair was all over her face and yet you could still see the tears streaming down her face. She was wearing a hospital robe. Who would expect that a girl would try to kill herself on the roof of the rehab clinic. The first time I saw her I should have run the other way and never looked, but I couldn't, I wanted to know what drove this girl on the edge crying like that.
"Are you gonna jump?", I came towards her from behind. The girl turned around surprised and I met her emerald green eyes. I watched her as she began to scan me carefully. "And who do you think you are?" Interesting. She was standing at the edge of a roof looking like a mess and yet she can still be rude. I couldn't help but smirk and say"Says the girl who is standing at the edge of the rehab clinics roof. I mean look at you in your hospital gown, messy hair and tears streaming down your face." She looked offended. Cute. "I am not a monster to ignore a person who need help. I mean look at you. Sure you have your reasons to end it all. But wouldn't it make more sense to make the people you love proud and show the ones who drove you to this edge that you can live without them?" She looked me deeply in the eyes. It seems like I came through to her. "Who are you, a philosopher?" I couldn't help but chuckle. This certainly wasn't the reaction I was expecting, but I am glad that she can joke. "No, I am Alexander. My friends call me Alec." I reached out my hand and while taking it she asked "Since when am I your friend, pretty boy?" Once again I smiled. "I am Remy", she mumbled.
This was my very first memory of her.
