It was his choice. A difficult choice that made him question his feelings. Tony didn't like thinking about his feelings. It was worse than going to a therapist. They were in the park, Loki bound and gagged, with Thor tightly gripping his arm. "Farewell," Thor said with a serious smile.
Tony raised a hand in a half-wave. It was more of a salute, he thought with embarrassment as he saw Steve looking at him. "Take care," he said hastily to cover his action. Loki smirked.
"Hope to see you again, Thunder," Clint called out. He was standing dangerously close to Natasha and she whispered something in his ear. Clint smiled and let out a low chuckle then looked at Tony. "I'm sure a lot will be different when I do."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Tony yelled at him. The spies ignored him. Thor looked up and then they were transported their world. Tony stepped back slightly, pulling Bruce back with him, in case they got sucked up with them. He didn't want to go to Asgard. He bet they didn't even have real science. And they certainly didn't have Natasha Romanoff.
----
"Has he told you who he's chosen yet?" Clint asked. Natasha shook her head. "Well, don't get down about it. If he chooses you, great. If he doesn't, he's my next target."
It had been two days since Thor took Loki to Asgard and they had all gone their separate ways. However unattached she was pretending to be to her team, she had been tracking them. Captain Rogers had gone to Washington, there had been no alien signals so Thor was in Asgard still, Clint was as always by her side and Banner and Tony had gone to Stark Towers.
"Yeah, and no news is good news, right? He might be telling Pepper about his choice," she said doubtfully. "But-"
"Ah, ah, ah. No doubting him. I mean I doubt him a lot. I don't trust him and he's not good enough for you but if you love him, I suppose you trust him."
"Thanks, Clint." She rolled her eyes. "Remind me never to let you give me a pep talk again."
He playfully ruffled her hair. "Never say never," he replied. "Sometimes I'm really good at getting people to do things they're unsure about. Because Hawk knows best."
