The Lucky Cat Cafe, located on the corner of Height Street and Masonic Avenue, had been home to Hiro and Tadashi Hamada since the older boy was eleven and the younger boy was four. Their aunt Cass, from their father's side of the family ran the cafe and had been raising them since the deaths of their parents in a car accident. Over the next ten years, they grew up together, inventing, going to school, spending their summers frolicking in the parks...practically all kinds of things brothers would do.

Eventually things started to change, both for the better and for the worse when Hiro was fourteen and Tadashi was twenty-one. After Tadashi signed up to attend the prestigious San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, meeting new friends and inventing a robot named Baymax, Hiro felt that Tadashi was spending less time with him and he wanted his attention back. To cope with his, he decided to take up bot-fighting, but after some mass scolding and reverse, psychology on his part, Tadashi managed to convince Hiro to attend his school. Instead of simply signing up like most people would do, Hiro took a more unique approach by inventing microbots, tiny little bots that could merge together and form into all kinds of shapes. This got Hiro in, but thanks to a convenient fire that had been set accidently on purpose and Tadashi's own heroism that cost him his own life, (some would say it was stupidity), life had other plans for him.

And it was then that Hiro created the superhero team Big Hero 6. With the help of Tadashi's friends Honey Lemon, GoGo Tomago, Wasabi No-Ginger and Fred Lee (alias Fred Frederickson IV), they managed to defeat the villain responsible for the fire and brought him to justice.

But now Hiro was resting in his bedroom, thinking about new inventions and new possibilities to his superhero career and school life. Yet even though he still had his aunt, his robot and his pet cat Mochi, he couldn't help but still feel the emptiness inside his heart beginning to expand again from missing Tadashi. He would probably do anything to bring him (and possibly his parents) back from the grave.

But how does one raise someone from the dead?

Now that is a very good question.

Hiro went downstairs to fetch a snack from the kitchen (not that his aunt ever minded since she was too busy to notice). Then he headed to the garage for a pack of gummy bears. Food was said to fuel the mind, or at least that is what he heard and maybe some food, not caring at all if it was junk or healthy, would give him what he needed to bring Tadashi back.

Maybe a time machine could do the trick?

But how can that be? If the movies taught him anything is that you should not interfere with your own past. So that idea was scrapped.

He remembered the number of times watching Frankenstein with Aunt Cass. That madman was able to bring a dead person back to life with electricity.

He might as well face the hard cold truth of reality: There was no way to bring to Tadashi back, even with all the scientific powers of the world. He looked over at Baymax, resting in his luggage, perfectly asleep. Sure he had Baymax, but what was he compared to a boy of living flesh and bone? He was huggable, sure, but he wanted to feel Tadashi's hugs again, the kind that made him feel truly safe, Baymax was just someone he had only known for almost a year.

And so, feeling bored and depressed, he went down to the garage for some building. He had just finished whole barrel full of microbots and he was in the beginning of making smore more in case the next threat arose. He thought about Yokai and the threat he posed. What if someone far worse than him came to threaten the city? He and his friends formed Big Hero 6 for one reason or another and the other reason aside from the less obvious one was handling threats that the police couldn't solve.

And that was where Hiro got his motivation.

He ordered a large number of microbots from his 3D printer and sulked in his chair, waiting for all of them to be printed out. Hiro felt like sleeping, but he had to be awake in case the printer malfunctioned. After a quarter of an hour, the microbots were finished. Hiro was looking forward to showing them to his teammates when a dark shadow fell upon the garage.
