Sora had already set the Gummi Ship on an autopilot course for Twilight Town, him sitting in the front seat with Donald on the left and Goofy on his right as usual. Jiminy was silently chronicling their story in Sora's vest pocket (Not that he minded). Mickey and Riku followed them in their own with Aqua having a siesta in the backseat. Sora felt tempted to use the ship's radio to get in touch with Riku and the King, but he considered against it so as not to wake up Aqua. Had they conversed in CB talk, Riku would have said something about being in Sora's backdoor. Sora would have joked that the luggage carrying Lea's new outfit was lugging the ship down and causing them to slow, but he kept it to himself. Even though he was trying be mature, a little humor never hurt him or Riku every now and then.
But of course, he could use some humor right now to pass the time.
The journey was as well-paced as an airline flight, and he was getting bored. There were no movies for him to watch, no books to read....
Then he remembered the Gummiphone.
He took it out of his right pocket and stared at the black screen.
"I wonder how this works," he said quietly.
He pressed the circular button on the bottom and the screen came to life. It was a background of outer space with purple shades and a glitter of stars, festooned with programs called "apps". His eyes fell upon an executable called "contacts". His right index finger pressed it and a list of two names appeared, one read "Chip and Dale" and the other read "Ienzo". He pressed the one with Chip and Dale's names on it. Sure enough, the two chipmunks appeared, flanked by three other creatures that Sora had not met before: one was a thin looking mouse with feminine features, long blonde hair, and a greyish blue mechanic's uniform. The other was fat with reddish brown fur, tan coat and a handlebar mustache. Last was an adorable looking fly of turquoise skin and a red turtleneck sweater.
"Hey, Sora!" greeted Chip. "We were wondering when you'd pick up!"
Sora waved back.
"Hey, Chip, Dale. Who are these guys?"
Dale made the introductions.
"When we heard about all the troubles going on in the other worlds, we decided start our very own rescue agency. This is all the help we could find. This is Gadget Hackwrench, she's our mechanic. Monterey Jack, he's our pilot. And this is Zipper, he can do jobs that are too small even for us."
The three newcomers waved back at the trio.
"Gawsh, glad to see you two comin' up in the world," Goofy observed with his signature "hyuck".
"Thanks, Goofy," said Chip. "Anyways, we've been getting in touch with Ienzo and some of Ansem the Wise's apprentices from Radiant Garden. We'll put them on right now."
The screen switched to that of a mauve-haired man whom Sora had not met.
"Greetings, Sora. During Riku's exam, we found out that my master, Ansem the Wise, had placed some important data within your heart. We've been trying to crack it with the help Cid and Tron."
"Why, thank you, mister," Sora replied, hoping he could get his name.
"Call me Ienzo. I'm sure if you ask Riku about me, he might tell you that I was once a member of the Organization, and so were Dilan and Aeleus."
"I'll have to put him on for you," Sora said. "If he has one. I'm not even sure if he does."
The screen switched to Chip and Dale along with their new allies.
"We'll have to get you his and the King's number in case both parties get separated," Dale said.
Chip brought out a Gummiphone that perfectly matched the size of his hands and typed in something. The number showed up on a notification page on the top of Sora's screen. Curious, Sora clicked on it, then the number. The screen switched to Mickey and Riku.
