Chapter 2

"S-stay away from me." Scaramouche felt his anxious showing as he slowly walked backwards out of the dark alley way.

Kazuha looked at him up and down while holding Tama closely to him, he was also scared. "T-thanks f-for um finding my cat."

"You're welcome." Scaramouche hurried out of the alley and made his way to a bus stop.

"Wait Scara!!" Kazuha ran after him, still hugging Tama in his hands. Tama is probably his stress ball at this point.

Scaramouche ignored Kazuha as he ran to the nearby bus stop that was about 10 minutes away from the alley they met at.

"Scara— please." As he continued chasing after Kazuha.

After a few minutes Scaramouche stopped to take a breath, as he knows his stamina isn't as good as Kazuha's.

"Mhmmm..." Scaramouche breathed heavy, trying to catch his breath.

"Scara!!" Was the only thing he heard before the world became dark.

The next day
Scaramouche woke up in a strange place. It wasn't like a kidnapping scene kind of place, it looked like a bedroom at some house. He notices he was in the same clothes that he wore yesterday when he went out. Did he make it back home?

"Oh.. you're awake..." a little kid said tiredly as she flopped back on the floor.

"Sayu—?!" Scaramouche said out loud, "come on! Get up here! The floor isn't for sleeping."

"Really..?" She looked up to see Scaramouche, "can I really?"

Scaramouche nodded his head as Sayu climbed up onto the bed. "Why were you sleeping on the floor?"

Sayu was cuddling Scaramouche as she yawned, "Kazuha said that I should watch over you since he went out again.."

"Is he never home?" Scaramouche questioned.

"Oh he is but..." Sayu sighed, "he has a lot of work either way.."

Sayu should rambling about Kazuha never makes time for her as Tama walked into the bedroom door.

"Oh hi Tama.." Sayu said weakly while waving at Tama. "Sorry Scara-san, I forgot to close the door.."

Tama also came up onto the bed and all three were just talking. More like the cat and Scaramouche was listening.

As an hour passed, Sayu started getting hungry.

"Scara-san, I'm hungry.."

"Let's see what you guys have in the kitchen."

"Okay..."

Scaramouche looked at the ingredients they had, "is Yoimiya ever home?"

"No..."

Scaramouche honestly felt very bad for Sayu, almost no one is home to properly take care of her.

"Okay let's make some onigiri!" Scaramouche said excitedly as Sayu has previously said it has been one of her favorites for a long time when they were in the bedroom talking.

"Ohhh... that sounds great..!" Although Sayu sounds tired, she was actually very excited, "I can help out!!"

Scaramouche and Sayu then spent the next hour making onigiri.

"Woah Sayu! Yours look so cute." Scaramouche complimented Sayu's tanuki looking mujina onigiri

"Thank you.. yours is also pretty good."

Scaramouche lightly laughed, "it's a pretty ordinary onigiri."

"Better than most people's." Sayu said with a smile, "let's eat!!"

Scaramouche and Sayu ate their onigiri in silence as Tama ate his fish.

The door cracked open as they both heard a key and a car sound outside.

"Oniichan!!" Sayu ran to Kazuha, "I miss you so much."

"Me too.." Kazuha said calmly, then tilting his head towards Scaramouche, "why aren't you heading home?"

"Well I don't know," Scaramouche said in an annoyed tone, "maybe because someone kidnapped me and hid my phone."

"Don't make stuff up Scara." Kazuha looked back at Sayu, "can you go to your room?"

"Okay..." Sayu sadly walked towards her room.

"You should give her more attention Kazuha." Scaramouche gave Kazuha a glare, "you know she needs love and affection."

Kazuha let out a sigh. "I know.. I know.."

Scaramouche rolled his eyes, "where's my phone?"

"Ehh??" Kazuha looked at him questionably, "it's on the desk next to the bed you woke up in?"

Scaramouche walked back to the bedroom he was previously in. "Oh..."

He picked up his phone and found 20 missing calls from Ei and over 100 messages from her.

'I'm at a friend's house, don't worry. Sorry for not telling you sooner.' He replied to one of Ei's message.

'Kuni!! I got so scared?!' Ei immediately messaged back.

'Sorry sorry please save me from your lecture.' Scaramouche replied back and closed his phone.

Silence took over as Scaramouche and Kazuha both sat on the bed.

It was just the afternoon.
