Today was my first day back to school after two weeks. It was the beginning of winter and I think it was time to finally go back to the school of I'll get retained.
"Hey baby," Daire said walking into the room. I smile at him. "Hey, Darry," I said walking over to him. I stand on my tippy toes and kiss him on the lips. He places his hands on my waist and deepens the kiss. He pulls back and grins at me. "Ready to go back?" He asked tucking some black hair behind my ear.
I bite my and look down. "Yeah," I said unsurely. "Do I look okay?" He smiles and spins me around.
"You look, beautiful baby," He kisses my lips before grabbing some clothes and walking out the room.
I sigh with pure adoration. I really liked Daire like really really liked him. He was so sweet and kind to me, he treated me like I was someone special. And even though we've been only dating for two weeks I really feel I can spend the rest of my life with him. And I might only be saying that because I'm a 16-year-old girl who just got her first boyfriend but I don't care.
I brush my hair with my favorite floral brush and braid it into a messy braid.
"Hey, Will," Carter said walking into my room. "Hi Carter," I said folding my clothes. "Can you babysit tonight?" He asked running his hands through his hair. I frown and look at him. "What?" I asked. Carter sighs. "I need you to babysit Landon's son Ty, so Landon, Julie, and I can go to the bowling alley tonight."
I smile and nod my head. "Yeah I would love to babysit Ty," I said to him. He smiles and pets my head. "Thanks, Willy."
Carter and Daire pass each other and gives each other a slight nod.
"Come on Bud," He said picking up our backpacks. "Let's get some breakfast," He walks out of the room in his gorgeousness that I couldn't help but stare.
"Goodmorning," Steph said as I passed him.
I smile at him before jogging toward the kitchen to catch up with Daire. Daddy was sitting down drinking his coffee. He smiles at me when I enter the room. "Good morning, Willy," He said. "Good morning daddy." I look down and see Cotton laying under my seat. I pick him up and he starts scratching at my face.
"Willow but that damn cat down," Daddy says sneezing. "And Carter go get my medication." He sneezes again.
Carter walks out of the room and does what daddy says.
"I'm glad you're coming back, Will," Levi said packing his pack back. He takes the bag and places it on the floor. He sits back down and looks at me. "Two weeks is a long time, Will. You might be failing some of your classes, babes."
I shrug my shoulder and play with the button on my sweater. "I know and I did some assignments online but I was confused about things and gave up with it." I bite my lip and run my hand through my hair. "But don't worry, I'm going to bring all my grades up the best I can," I said smiling at Levi.
"Will, sit down and eat your breakfast," Daddy said pointing to the plate sitting in front of my chair. "I don't want you being late on your first day back," He said taking the pills from Carter's hand. "I have a meeting again with a man that needs his car redone." He said taking a bite from his jelly biscuit. "So Carter might have to pick you up from school, is that okay with you, Will?"
I nod my head as I spread the jelly over my biscuit. I take a bite and chew the biscuit. I look up and look at Daire who was busy eating some fruit. He looks up at me and smirks. I blush and turn back to my grits.
"Ah, look at the time," Daddy said standing up. He grabs his coat off the back of the chair and places the dirty plate in the sink. "Come on, baby," He said grabbing my arm and pulling me up. He grabs my plate and put it in the sink. "Daire." Daddy said looking over at the blue-eyed boy. Daire looks up with a bunch of grapes stuffed in his mouth. "Come on we're gonna be late grape boy," Daddy said pulling out of the room.
Daddy hands me some shoes and grabs my backpack.
"Daddy, you know the winter dance is in a few weeks," I said slipping my shoes on. He hums in response. "I was hoping you can take me dress shopping?" I asked biting my lip. He rummages his hands deep in his pocket and pulls random stuff out. "Of course baby, I can't remember the last time you went to a school dance." He smiles at me and shakes his head.
"Me neither that's why I want to go," I said looking over at Daire that walked into the room at that moment. "Daire are you going to the winter dance?" Daddy asked. Daire looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Are you going?" Daire asked grabbing my wrist. I nod my head. "Then I guess so," He mumbled looking at daddy. "Okay well you can take her dress shopping so y'all can get matching outfits." Daddy grabs his keys off the hook and opens the door.
Daire walks me out of the house towards the car. "We can get Jeremiah to take us if you want," Daire whispers in my ear. I blush as his breath tickles my ear. Yeah sure we can use his opinion," I said. Daire smiles before stopping in front of daddy's silver car. He opens the door and takes my bag. I climb in and Daire closes the door.
We drive for 16 minutes until the brick building of our school comes into view. Daddy stops the car in the parking lot and turns to me. "If you wanna come home at any time, baby just let me know," He smiles at me with worried blue eyes.
"I'll be fine daddy," I said giving him a reassuring smile.
He looks over at Daire that was also looking at me. "Please let me know if anything or I swear I won't let any of you attend that dance," He said glaring at Daire and squeezing his shoulder hard. Daire looks down at daddy's hand and raises an eyebrow. "Okay, Graham, chill."
Daire slips out of the car and opens the door for me. He grabs our bags and leads the way towards the school.
