"When are your classes over for the day?" Hyunjin asked as we walked alongside each other towards the music building. I'd gotten my wrist checked out, and it turns out I'd sprained it. I would have to wear a brace for a few weeks, but other than that, I'd be fine.

Hyunjin waited for me while I was getting my wrist examined, so that's why we were now walking together. "Um, around 11:30, I think. I only had the one class today, and seeing as it's now," I glanced down at my smart watch to check the time before continuing. "10:45, I don't see any point in going to class for less than an hour. So, I guess I'm done for the day."

"Oh, cool. Would you wanna come eat lunch with me and my friends? We're all free around 12:30, so we usually eat together at the park." He looked down at me as he finished, waiting for my response.

I didn't even think before I responded, "Sure. I have a friend here already, but she won't be done with class until the afternoon." I explained. "Can we stop by my class so I can pick up whatever work I missed today, though? I don't want to get behind in the first week of school." I smiled shyly, glancing up at him.

"Of course." He smiled, walking ahead of me a bit to hold open the door to the music building. "After you, m'lady." He said, bowing slightly, causing me to laugh at his antics.

"Why, thank you, kind sir." I said, curtsying before entering the building. He really acted like a child sometimes, but it was honestly kind of cute. The smile stayed on my face as we walked down the hall to my classroom.

I hesitantly knocked on the door, not wanting to disturb the remainder of what was supposed to be my first class. "Come in!" I heard from the other side.

Turning the knob, I pushed the door open, looking around the room for my professor. I spotted her at a desk along the far wall. Walking over to her with Hyunjin following behind me, I smiled at her politely. "Hi, Ms. Jung. I'm Kang Taehee. I was supposed to be in this class today, but I had a little accident." I explained, holding up my wrist to show the brace. "I just wanted to stop by to get whatever work I missed so I don't fall behind so early in the semester."

"Oh, of course!" The professor responded, smiling kindly. I looked over her as she gathered some papers. She had medium brown hair, tied in a bun at the base of her neck. Her outfit was simple- jeans and a T-shirt- and she had clear-framed glasses sitting on her nose. She seemed to be no older than 28 or so. "What a first day you must be having." She said, laughing sympathetically.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips. I'd been worried that I would have a strict teacher who would be angry I'd missed the first class. "Thank you so much, Ms. Jung." I smiled again at her, glancing back at Hyunjin.

"Oh, it's no problem, Taehee. If you need a few days to rest your hand, don't worry about coming to class. I can gather up the work for you each day and you can come pick it up if you'd like." She explained, smiling warmly as she handed me a folder that contained a few papers. "I know how difficult it can be to try to write or take notes with an injured hand."

"Okay, I think that's what I'll do then. Thank you so much, Ms. Jung. I promise that when I am able to write again, I'll come to class on time each day." I said, bowing to her in thanks. "Have a nice day!" I said, smiling at my new teacher as I walked out of the classroom with Hyunjin.

"She seems nice." Hyunjin stated as we walked back outside. I nodded in agreement, smiling as I put the papers in my bag. "Oh, look! There are some of my friends." He said excitedly, pointing to a group of about 6 people, 3 boys and 3 girls. "Do you want to go meet them, Taehee?" He asked, looking over at me with a smile.

He seemed excited, like a small child who was about to get ice cream, so I couldn't say no. "Sure." I replied, smiling up at him. He gently grabbed my uninjured hand and led me over to the friend group. They all greeted Hyunjin warmly while I just stood to the side, not wanting to intrude.
