You woke up in your bed and looked out the window, right beside your window was a beautiful cherry blossom tree, which birds often nested in.
You then looked over to your door to see it cracked open with a cheerful looking Zenitsu peeking in
"Whadda you want?" You asked
"y/n chaannn, I made breakfasttt!!" He replied in a playful manner
"Get up and come eat with meee, I have to go soon!"
" alright alright fine, I'm up. Where do you have to go anyway?" You questioned him
"I have to go meet up with Tanjiro and train soon, I just wanted to spend breakfast with you first" he said shamelessly, watching your face glow red.
"Well, *ahem* let's go.. Eat then" you say bash fully attempting to cover your blushing face.
He notices your shyness and smiles before following you towards the kitchen.
As you get near the kitchen you begin to smell what he had cooked, and it smelled delicious. You hadn't had dinner yesterday and your mouth was watering just thinking of what it might be.
"What'd you make?" You asked
"I made a simple breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and I even bought yogurt just for this meal!" He said
"Y-you went into town.. Just to buy yogurt.?"
"Yes! I wanted breakfast to be perfect for you!!" He said, you blushed.
How is he able to say these things without batting an eye?? He flirts so naturally I can't help but get flustered.. God he's so cute...wait.. UGHHH!!
WHY AM I THINKING THESE THINGS ABOUT HIM, WE JUST MET A FEW DAYS AGO AND I'M ALREADY FALLING, WHAT IT WRONG WITH ME??
"y/n?"
"Y/N!!"
His voice made you wake from your thoughts
"Y-yes?"
"Are you okay? You seem pretty lost in thought. I called your name like 8 times" he said amusingly
"Oh, I'm sorry i must have zoned out." You reply
As soon as you finished your sentence Zenitsu stood up and bolted for the door
"OH MY GOODNESS, Y/N!! IM SO SORRY BUT I MAY BE LATE IF I STAY MUCH LONGER, I HAVE TO LEAVE NOW! I'LL MAKE DINNER LATER TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU, BYEEEE!!!"
And with that he was out the door and halfway down the drive by the time you blinked.
You looked at your plate and ate the final bite of your food, taking your plate and his into the kitchen and in the sink. You washed them and put them away before walking out onto the porch to look at nature.
The birds, the trees, the sky, it was all so beautiful.
You felt a bit tired since you didn't get to sleep in like you normally would. Before you knew it you had dozed off right in your rocking chair.
