Chapter 17
Later...
Kaye POV
I was sitting on the edge of the pool because Michael and Jeremy were having a splash fight and I was not interested.
It actually seemed like they were back to being friends. They both seemed happy to be spending time together again.
"Ok, wait. Let me catch my breath," Jeremy said.
Jeremy came over and sat on the edge of the pool beside me.
"Feeling better?" I asked.
"Yeah. Really tired though. It's been a long week."
"I know. Do you want to go back to our room?"
"Yeah."
"Ok. Michael, we're going to head back to our room. Jeremy is tired."
"Ok, I'm coming," Michael said, getting out of the pool.
We all wrapped towels around ourselves, ran through the parking lot, and went back to our room. They said I could take a shower first, and I was a little nervous about leaving them alone together. But they seem to be on good terms now, so... I'm hoping for the best.
I showered and got dressed as fast as I could. When I came out of the bathroom, Jeremy and Michael were both on their phones. I was glad they didn't kill each other.
Michael got up to take a shower next. I sat down next to Jeremy.
"Things still good between you and Michael?"
"Yeah."
"Good. Are you still feeling ok?"
"Yeah. Just tired. And cold."
He wrapped his towel around himself tighter.
"I just want to go to bed. What are we doing tomorrow?" Jeremy asked.
"I'm not sure. We can decide tomorrow. Maybe we could go see a movie or something."
"Ok, but I'm like almost out of money."
"I'll ask Michael if he has any."
Jeremy unzipped his suitcase, took out his pjs, and then went to shower when Michael came out.
"Are we going to make him drink the alcohol tonight?" Michael asked.
"No, he's tired. We'll do it tomorrow. Do you really still think he has the squip?"
"I don't know. Maybe. I'm not entirely convinced he's telling the truth."
"Why though?"
"Did you see how he was looking at you in your swimsuit?"
"Um, did you see how you were looking at me in my swimsuit?"
"I don't have a squip!"
"But you like me, and so does Jeremy. I don't think him looking at me has anything to do with this."
"I just didn't like it."
"You did the same thing."
"I know, but I know what my intentions are. I don't know his."
"I think you're jealous."
"I am not!"
"I feel like maybe you are."
"I'm going to bed. Are you really going to sleep in Jeremy's bed?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Nothing. Goodnight."
