(This is going to be a long one folks)

Y/n pulls up to the building and climbs onto the roof, seeing a small window open. Y/n hangs from his web and slowly descends into the building. The room is filled with computers and gadgets. Monitors showing Avengers Tower and the blueprint of Ozpin's plane. Y/n spots Vulture's wing suit and goes deeper inside.

"Hey! Surprised?"

Cardin: Oh, hey, Y/n. I didn't hear you come in.

"It's over, Cardin. I've got you."

Cardin: Actually buddy, it's we who got you

"What?"

Out of the darkness, Tai walks up to Cardin and places a hand onto his back

Tai: You know, I gotta tell you, Y/n. I really, really admire your grit. I see why Ruby and Yang like you. I do. When you first came to the house, I wasn't so sure. I thought, "Really?" But I get it now.

He was in absolute shock. The mentor he had other than Ozpin was in fact his greatest enemy.

"How could you do this to her? To them? How could you do this to your own daughters, Tai?!"

Tai: To them? I'm not doing anything to them Y/n. I'm doing this for them.

"Huh, yeah. And I guess Cardin was just a decoy to conceal your identity?"

Tai: Nope, Cardin here has been working with me the whole time. It was actually him who gave me the idea to combine alien tech with ours. A real tinkerer for this kind of stuff ya know?

Y/n shoots his web and glues Tai's left hand against the desk. He webs Cardin to the wall using an impact web

Tai: Y/n, you're young. You don't understand how the world works.

"Yeah, but I understand that selling weapons to criminals is wrong."

Tai: How do you think your buddy Ozpin paid for that tower? Or any of his little toys? Those people, Y/n, those people up there, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us, like you and me, they don't care about us. We build their roads, and we fight all their wars and everything, but they don't care about us. We have to pick up after 'em. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is. I know you know what I'm talking about, Y/n.

"So why are you telling me this?

Tai: Because I want you to understand. And... I needed a little time to get her airborne.

Tai takes a folding knife out of his pocket. The wing suit flies out from behind Y/n's back, which he avoids. In the confusion of the moment, Tai cuts free from the web. The wing suit continues to attack Y/n, but he avoids it with quick movements, freeing Cardin in the process and allowing him to escape

Tai: I'm sorry, Y/n.

"What are you talking about? That thing hasn't even touched me yet."

Tai: True. Then again, wasn't really trying to.

Y/n realizes that the wing suit wasn't attacking him; instead, it was chopping down the pillars. The building collapses, raining down on Y/n and burying him. Vulture picks up a walkie-talkie.

Cardin: Chief, they're powering up engines.

Tai: Okay.

Tai takes one last look of the pile of debris covering Y/n, then flies off.
