I held Mom's hand tightly "You can finally rest and get an early retirement since my new work would give me a high salary that is 3x the usual wage that I always get" With my new wage, I could start providing my family with their daily needs and I could pay Rina's tuition fee without worrying about my next wage since I usually put half of my wage to finish my student loans
Mom was in a state of shock that she was still frozen and speechless for a solid 10 minutes which worried me "Mom?" I called out to her as my brows furrowed
She wiped the tear that was starting to spill out at the corner of her eye "Sorry, it's just...been a long time since somebody told me that I could rest and I didn't expect it to be my own son to say it to me" her eyes watered with tears of joy
Mom's entire childhood all the way to when she had us was not easy, growing up in an abusive household she thought that Dad was different until he left us leaving Mom to become a single working mother who works two shifts every day with little to no rest at all
She wanted to rest but that just mean that we can't survive without her salary that is no work no pay
Even when she is extremely sick she would force herself to work is something that I appreciate that she has done for us
I hugged Mom who was starting to cry tears of joy and Rina joined in on our small group hug "You should go to rest and it's up to you if you want to continue working" I assured her

With Rina's help, we managed to tuck Mom in bed and I started washing the dishes after eating the dinner that Rina made
"So when are you moving out?" she asked me tilting her head with a spoon in her hand from scooping ice cream in a mug
I shrugged at her "I'm not sure but I might get a message today about me moving in"
She sighs dreamily "Just the thought of getting to see a beautiful face every morning is such a blessing" I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to see Caramia without permission
We heard my phone ring inside of my coat that was hanging on the coat rack beside Mom's bag, Rina stood up and strolled down to the side of the front door "I'll get it"
Once she took out my phone and answered it "Jackson residence who is this?" she asked and suddenly her eyes went wide before her gaze darted towards me
Rina then dashed towards me handing over the phone in such a rush that I didn't have time to dry up my hands in the kitchen towel, with wet hands I held the phone close to my ear "Hello?"
