It's been a week since my punishment started. I miss being able to talk with everyone and being able to leave my room but I did break mother's rules so I probably deserve this. I've been having weird dreams? I think thats what they can be called. I'm talking with some tree lady who calls herself my grandmother. She says I have an uncle and a cousin that she wants me to meet. I have no clue how that would happen though. I've been thinking about telling Mother but I didn't know if he would believe me.

I was in a weird dream again, but instead of the lady, there was another skeleton that was about my size. They seemed surprised to see me. They came up to me and, "Hi! My name is Palette! What's yours?" I stared at them, who is this strange person?

".....Shadow...." Palette's smile seemed kinda forced, and I could feel their emotions. They were kinda disappointed? Not my problem. Until they 'perked' up. "Well Shadow, I like to paint! I also like anything positive and can feel emotions! Albeit not very well.... What do you like to do?" Such a strange creature. Why is it so nice? I don't like it. Mabey if I answer it's questions it will go away? "I like to garden and read." 'now please go away'.
Answering It's questions didn't make it go away, instead it seemed to get more interested. I don't like this thing. It needs to leave. Now. I tried to leave but couldn't. This thing just followed me and talked non-stop. Mabey if I hid in a tree it would go away? While it was distracted I hid up in a tree. Please go away.
Me hiding from the creature didn't deteriorate it from its goal, making me it's next meal. Why else would it be kind? I hid as best as I could, and the thing couldn't find me. It wasn't until the lady appeared and asked the creature how the playdate went that I realized the lady set this up.
"I think we're playing hide and seek right now, Shadow hid and I cant find her! So she's my cousin right?" Cousin? What nonsense. I don't have any more family, why would the lady lie to the thing? As the crazy lady fed it lies I decided it was time to wake up. I would not deal with that thing longer then required.

I woke up to Mother entering my room with breakfast. "So your up, your emotions where in a whirlwind." "Hm..." I leaned over and held my egg, feeding it my magic like I've done periodically since I gained them and sat up. I reflexively go to check the time but remember that I don't have my phone... "It's 7:36 is the morning" I turned my head away, trying to hide my blush.
I don't think I was very successful since I felt the amusement from Mother. Though it felt, kinda dark? I wonder why? Probably just Mother's magic mixing in with his emotions or something. Mother ended up staying with me for breakfast so that was nice.
After breakfast Mother had to leave, but promised to send my teacher in. Since I was on room arrest I've been doing my studies most of the time. My teacher says that I'm greatly improving! It took 4 minutes and 23 seconds for my teacher to arrive. Then we continued my studies.
Time Skip
Finally, done my studies for today! I looked outside and it seemed to be getting dark, so it's Mabey around 8 o'clock. So about an hour before bed.... I don't wanna deal with the strange lady or the strange creature though! Before I could get to deep into thought, Mother entered the room with some food.
"You don't seem to happy, want to tell me about it?" Mother.... Is giving me an option? That's, weird. He's never given me an option before.... Should I tell Mother? He's supposed to be a bad guy, evil, heck he's killed kids! But he might be able to get the weird lady and the kid to leave me alone though.
After thinking it through I shook my head no. "No, not right now anyways.... Mabey later?" To my surprise and relief, Mother accepted my response and didn't ask any more questions. I didn't want to explain how there was a weird lady calling herself my grandmother or the thing that called itself my cousin.
Mother only dropped off the food this time, witch was probably for the best. I don't wanna constantly be second guessing myself anyways. So I ate my food while holding my egg. I wonder what they are? If their a girl or a boy? Mabey Intersex? They may not even have a gender!
I wonder if when they hatch if I'll be their parent? Or would they see me as a sibling because I'm only 13? Would they be a hunter type animal? Or Mabey a peaceful one? I don't know, and it's really exciting! I've never read up on animals mostly because there are no books on animals in the castle, I wonder if I ask for them if I'll get them?
I fed my egg more magic since they were hungry again, and could help but feel overwhelming love for them. I would have a companion of my own! I love Papy, don't get me wrong. But, well.... He's the reason I'm having these conflicting feelings in the first place. He'll always be my Best Friend, and Uncle, but sometimes I just wish for someone who will listen but not act on what I tell them.
Not to mention Mother probably won't be able to take them away from me. Well, unless he kills them but why let me keep my egg if he's going to kill them? It doesn't make sense, at all. I smiled at my egg warmed up, 'I can't wait to meet you....'
