THE SUN WAS slowly setting in New Orleans as the swamp was still the same as it was, an alligator being seen floating along the water with two frogs sitting side by side on his back and one frog sitting on his nose. If any other animal or gator would swim by, they'd be surprised to see the alligator wasn't trying to eat the three frogs like the other gators just the night before had been doing before the frogs had hidden in the tree.
It was clear to the three frogs that Louis wasn't like the other gators and wanted to eat them. All he wanted was to play his trumpet in front of a crowd and have them cheer him and praise him for his performance instead of the screaming in fear at the sight of alligator.
Y/n was sitting beside Tian on Louis' back as she leaned her hands against his scaly back, staring at her best friend in awe, a smile evident on her face as she listened to him speak about his future restaurant he's always wanted and his father had always wanted as well.
Louis also seemed interested as he'd ask questions about what the boy wanted every so often and, occasionally, Naveen heard and felt his stomach growl whenever they'd bring up the mention of food.
"Now, this restaurant of yours, is it going to have etouffee?" Louis asks.
"Jambalaya, gumbo. It's going to have it all." Tian lists off with a smile.
Louis hums in delight. "I've always wanted to try red beans and rice, muffulettas, po' boys."
"Stop, Louis." Naveen demands with a chuckle, rubbing his stomach. "You two are making me so very hungry."
Just then, dragonflies flew right past him, buzzing in his ear. At the sight of them, his tongue suddenly pops out before going back into his mouth, surprising him. The other three watched in confusion when he dove into the water, Tian asking what he was doing only to get shushed, claiming he was frightening the food.
They watched as he stuck his tongue out before falling back, his tongue wrapped around his head and neck. Y/n and Tian couldn't help but chuckle when he tried again, only to get a branch broken off and latched around his tongue. At the sight of a firefly flying above them and landing onto a flower, Y/n surprises herself when her tongue pops out.
Y/n shakes her head. "Oh, no. No, no, no. There is no way I am kissing a frog and eating a bug on the same day."
Just as she crosses her arms, her tongue pops out again, causing her to stumble in the direction of firefly. Meanwhile, she didn't even notice that Tian had hopped off of Louis and in the water as he tried as well, the frog in him getting the urge to get the bugs before his gaze landed on the firefly as well.
The two were making their way, their tongues thrusting out in unison as it broke off the flower and their tongues wrapped together, making them fly forward until they were banging into one another, eyes widening at the sight of each other and their current situation right now.
