Neglected

Chapter Five-

Just going to say now that there will be no uploading schedule. I'm sorry I went away for a while, but I only really get inspiration at school and we had a couple weeks off. Enjoy!

"Don't leave me, please"

Natasha wasn't sure if she heard that right.

Yelena thought that she was leaving her. Well she was, but only for a couple of days for a mission?

"What do you mean Lena?" Natasha started "I'm only leaving for a couple of days?"

Yelena sighed, she didn't know what to say. She didn't want Natasha to get upset with her so she settled on just saying "I know I'm sorry I shouldn't have overreacted."

"You didn't overreact Yelena, trust me." Natasha said " Please Yelena talk to me, I won't be mad, I promise."

"I- I'm-" Yelena hesitated " I'm scared, I'm scared that if you go on that mission and I'm not there to help you that's I might loose you."

"And I can't loose you Natasha, your all I have left, with our you I have no one and I can't be alone again."

Natasha felt horrible. She thought that Yelena was fine! She didn't know that Yelena was feeling this way.

"Yelena.." Natasha started, trying to find the right words to say "You should have told me that you felt like this, I would have helped you!"

This only made Yelena feel worse. She didn't want Natasha to have to look after her all time. She didn't want Natasha to feel guilty.

"Natasha it's fine I'm just being silly, don't worry about it." Yelena tried to backtrack on her earlier words "Please don't feel bad or guilty that's not what I want"

Natasha still looked uncertain. She was about to say something when she was interrupted by the sound of a door opening and closing.

It was then she realised that Maria must have left to give them space.

Yelena must have realised too because a guilty look dawned on her face.

"No stop that Yelena, don't feel bad she had a choice wether to stay or leave and it's clear she chose the latter."

"I know Natasha, but you know I can't help but feel bad you guys had work to do!" Yelena said "I will be fine Natasha you need to go prepare for your mission."

"No Yelena, I know that I need to prepare but you need me more!" Natasha stated.

"Really Natasha i will see you later anyways I will be fine!"

"Are you sure Yelena, I don't want to leave you whilst your upset."

"I will be fine Natasha, I will see you soon okay?"

"Okay then, I will be back soon okay, but if not don't wait up okay."

"I won't, see you later" Yelena hesitated to say this next part "I-I love you."

"I-I will see you later Yelena"

Natasha got up and left, she knew she wouldn't be able to say it back and she couldn't wait around to see the expression that would be left on Yelena's face.

And as she got onto her motorbike, there was only one thought on her mind.

Why didn't she say it back?
