"Alright, we're taking Miles to court now," the lead cop announced. "Okay, but make sure he has the parking boot on, man," Ramone replied. "We got him hooked up."
Mater towed Miles to traffic court. "Order in the court!" the lead cop said, staring at everyone.
"Now, Miles, care to explain how you got out of jail in the UK, London?" he raised his brow at him.
"I got bailed out by Victor Hugo," Miles said all calm. Everyone in the room looked stunned. "Okay, but who gave him permission to leave? He was in prison as well."
"He decided to be good," Miles spat. "Cap," Lightning McQueen called out from the back of the room.
"Huh?" Miles asked. "You're trapped in a web of lies, Miles, come on," Lightning told him.
"Who knows, he could be armed right now," Mater remarked. "No, he isn't," Sally assured everyone. "Let the prisoner speak," the cop interrupted everyone.
"Victor wanted to start a new life, without the gremlins and the pacers, and leave everything behind- to cut off every single part of his... " Miles trailed off.
"Of his what?" the cop inquired. "Family," he finished his sentence.
"What the-" Sally blabbered under her breath. "Family?" she asked Miles aloud.
Miles turned around and saw Sally. He grinned at her. Lightning just looked at him like he wanted to punch him."Yes, his family, sweetie," he chuckled. "Ok, that's enough," the cop started banging the desk with the gavel.
"Tell the whole story now, or just be thrown in prison," the lawyer told Miles.
"Listen to me," Miles said. "We're listening," Lightning hissed.
"So, Victor is out of the picture. He bailed me out because I wanted to become a better car- I have been bomb free in 365 days. I haven't exploded a car in a year! Do you know what that means?" Miles asked.
"It means you're still suspicious as hell," Lightning retorted. "No, it means, that I've changed for the better!" Miles proclaimed.
Everyone couldn't take him seriously. The fact that he had already played this "nice guy act"
once before in the past and deceived everyone was already foolish enough, so how could he just change?
"Got any proof?" the cop interrogated him. "Yes," Miles pulled out his cellphone."Hey, like no fair, cellphones are against the court rules! He's breaking all the limits," Sally whined.
"Keep away, you-" Miles stopped in his sentence and saw McQueen already mad.
Everyone waited for Miles' receiver to pick up their cell phone.
"Hello?" a voice said on the other line."Hi princess, it's me your one and only," Miles told her.
"Oh, hiii come get me," she said on the other line.
Everyone looked baffled. "Sorry, I can't get you. I'm afraid I'm at a courtroom by Route 66 right now," Miles explained.
"Ugh, I'll come, wait," the line disconnected.
"Who were you talking to?" Lightning asked.
"None of your business," Miles said. "No, who was it?" the cop asked.
"Don't worry about it," Miles told him. "No, let me, let me see your phone history please," the cop asked him.
Miles looked scared, his eyes dilated. "No! Cop! What is it with you and poking me! Cop! Stop!-". Miles started driving away from him,"This is for safety purposes," the cop said. "Who is coming over? Tell us, and you might be bluffing, so give me," he demanded him. Miles took out his phone and smashed it.
