♪The Groomless Bride♪

Jungkook stood at the back of the church awkwardly again. He doesn't know anyone here. Everyone looked at him weirdly and he felt like an outcast among them.

It was a small church that is built in a very old style, not much decorations for a wedding, just simple. People were seated on the pews chatting in murmurs. Jungkook was the only one who was wearing such an expensive suit. The rest of them was wearing simple outfits that suited to a village.

Namjoon and Jin was currently with Jimin. Namjoon was going to walk Jimin down the aisle as their dad is not with them anymore.

Jungkook felt a presence near him. The other person looked at him, soon giving him a smile. The other man was just like him muscular, dominant and handsome.

"Hello, you must be Namjoons friend from Seoul?" Jungkook nodded his head taking the hand that the other one had pointed towards him for a handshake.

"I am. May I know your name?" Jungkook asked the other one. He was glad he got a company here. No one tried to approach him other than giving him looks.
"I am Kim Taehyung. I live 5 houses from Namjoons. We are friends."

"Oh. But I haven't heard him talking about a friend like you." Taehyung just chuckled.

"But he always talks about you Jungkook. We are farmer buddies you could say. I have a farm with cows, ducks and chickens and some vegetables. "

" Wow, cool. "

They proceeded with their little conversation. They had almost same vibe even though they do an entirely different job.

While they were having their conversation a frantic Namjoon came between them and took Taehyung with him telling an excuse to Jungkook. By seeing Namjoons sweaty face Jungkook could tell that the matter was serious. But he didn't want to come off as rude by intruding them, so he stood were he was. Being all clueless.

"What are you talking Namjoon? What does they mean by calling off the wedding at the last moment?" Taehyung asked in wonder. He looked at Jin holding his tears and Namjoons mother already sobbing. Jimin was stoic. He was looking at the ground holding the bouquet of flowers in his hands tightly sitting on a wooden chair placed inside the backroom of the church.

"I don't know Tae. Their worker just came and told me that they were calling off the wedding, because they had a promise with that mill owners daughter." Namjoon cried.

" What bullshit are they talking? They are just telling at the very day of the wedding when the bride is already at the church." Taehyung was fuming.

" Jacob uncle has gone to inquire more about it then only we could say something. He will be back soon. Jin take Jimin to the other room. We will call you." Namjoon said to Jin. Jimin didn't utter a word just followed Jin.

People started murmuring when the wedding that had to happen in half an hour didn't happen in the next hour. Jungkook had to know what was happening. So he just said f*** it and went in search of Namjoon.

"Namjoon?" Jungkooks demeanor soon changed when he saw Namjoon slumped on a bench with his head cradled by his hand. Jungkook was confused. He didn't know what was happening. Taehyung was with Namjoon consoling him.

"What is happening here Taehyung?"  Jungkook asked to Taehyung when Namjoon didn't look at him.
"They betrayed us. They called off the wedding by saying that their son was originally promised to the mill owners daughter who is second to them in wealth." Taehyung said gritting his teeth. He didn't know what he would do if it was his Nayeon who was in Jimins place. He felt pity towards Namjoon. They couldn't do anything as they are leasing this Choi sung ji's land for cultivation.

Jungkook felt really bad for Namjoon too. He was the most happiest for Jimins wedding. He had a lot of dreams about Jimin. He finally thought this sejin guy could let Jimin go for higher studies.

"Then why are we standing here. Let's go to that bastard." Jungkook said just like Taehyung fuming with anger.

"It's no use. He is married with that mill owners daughter this morning. They just did it to get their land back. But yesterday without us knowing they won the case. Namjoon had lost his land." Jacob uncle who came just now from there said with defeated look.
Namjoon stood up with his weak knees hearing this. That land was his great grand father's that was the main source of their food. Now what will they do with the other small land? They can barely live with it. Now what will happen to his brother who is waiting inside in his wedding dress? Namjoon felt devastated and his best friend who he was meeting after years had to see his pathetic state. He cried on Taehyungs shoulder chanting 'what will I do'.

Jin after making sure Jimin is with Nayeon witnessed a broken Namjoon on Taehyungs shoulder. Soon Jin and namjoon was crying on each others shoulders after Jin hearing the news of their land.

"Namjoon we have to get jimin married today itself." Jin said surprising everyone.

" What are you telling hyung? sejin is already married to that mill owners daughter."

" Taehyung. You live in this village. So you know better. Nobody's gonna marry our Jimin after this incident. He will just be known by some unfortunate bride whose groom got married to someone else at the same day of his wedding. We have nothing now. Not even a land. Namjoon sold everything for this wedding. Every penny we saved for Jimins wedding is used. What will happen to our jiminie now? Think about it."

Everyone thought about it for some times. Namjoon stopped crying and wiped his face. Jin was right. His brother will only sit at home after this. Nobody in this village will be ready to marry Jimin telling he is unlucky. What will he do now? Who will marry him? He looked at Taehyung for a minute. He is a nice man, hard working like him. He went near Taehyung. He held Taehyungs hands and looked at him expectantly. All this time Jungkook stood there not finding words to speak. He had never been in such a situation. If it was in the city. People wouldn't be this concerned for a called off arranged marriage. But it was not the case here. 

"Taehyung will you marry my brother?"
