Resurrection (RWBY X Akame Ga Kill)

Blake paces back and forth as Akame, Weiss, and Ruby are sitting down.

Blake: Why couldn't you do something huh?

Akame: Blake I tried.

Blake: I thought you were stronger. Than all of us, able to prevail through anything. Yet here we are. The person I love most is in there and we don't even know if she's gonna live!

Ruby: Blake. Please, calm down.

Blake: How the hell can you expect me to calm down?! How're you not worried and angry. Your sister is in there.

Ruby: I know but, it wasn't Akame's fault. She tried helping.

Blake: Yeah, sure she did. I thought that with that sword and that bracelet you were pretty much unstoppable. Why couldn't you break the ice. That's the easiest thing to do. SO WHY DIDN'T YOU BREAK IT IN TIME?!

Akame stays silent. Knowing she's let her friend down. But also angry at the fact that she's been brought to life. Her being back to life is good. But also having Esdeath back with more power than ever before is a problem.

Akame: She wasn't this strong before.

Blake: Before?

Akame: Yes, I've fought her before. I killed her. She shouldn't be alive right now.

Blake: And neither should you......maybe it should've stayed that way.

Weiss gets up and snaps.

Weiss: What is wrong with you?! You were just having nightmares about losing her and now that you have a chance to talk to her again you just lash out your anger on the situation? I get it. Yang is hurt. We all love her, trust me. But if you're just going to sit here and be mad at Akame when she was trying her best, then you shouldn't be a part of this team.

Blake sits there in shock and realization.

Blake: I umm, Akame I-

Akame: No need. I understand. Just know, you should keep your emotions in check Blake. Learn to not let them interfere with what's important. Right now, it's making sure that Yang is ok.

The doctor comes out the door.

Doctor: Good news girls. She's going to be ok. She'll be good to go with prosthetics already built for her.

Blake smiles, tears up and runs into the room in excitement.

Yang: Blake?

Blake: Yang. I thought I would lose you.

Yang: I thought I was gone for sure.

Blake: I'm so sorry Yang. If I hadn't been so stupid. I should've stopped you.

Yang: It's not your fault. It's mine. But in honesty Blake. I'm scared and I don't think I can face her again.

Blake: Don't be scared Yang. I'll protect you. You can't really do anything in this state so I might as well do something about it.

Akame: No. I suggest you and your friends stay out of this.

Ruby: But we can fight and help you.

Akame: You make one mistake against her and you'll end up like your sister or worse.

Team RWBY put on sad faces.

Akame: I'm sorry. You can't help me. You'll only hurt yourselves.

Blake: Akame, we've been through our fair share of battles. What's different about this?

Akame: You don't know what I've been through. The sacrifices I've had to make. Let alone the drive I had just to keep going and take another slash so I can live to fight another day.

Akame turns and walks away. Blake holds Yang's only hand as Weiss watches. Ruby stops Akame with a shoulder touch.

Ruby: You know. Blake was really happy to see you. I just hope that you don't need our help. From what I've heard of you. You seem like you can hold your own. Just be careful Akame.

Akame: Thank you. Ruby, was it?

Ruby: Yeah.

Akame: Look over your team. Make sure they're safe. Do whatever you can with them. Make sure you keep all your moments together close. Make every moment special. Just make sure nothing happens to you all. Ok?

Ruby: Of course. Just make sure you're safe out there ok? I don't want to see Blake suffer anymore.

Akame: I understand her pain. Trust me, I do. I had my own team too you know.

Ruby: Were they good friends?

Akame: Yeah. Really good.

Akame sighs.

Akame: I've overstayed my welcome. I'll give you and your team space.

Ruby: Please be careful.

Akame: I will.

Akame walks out.
