"Wait so Wrecker actually threw food at a trooper for insulting you?!" Anna asked. Riley was on a call with her sisters while she was on break.
"Yeah! All of them stood up for me—even Crosshair and he doesn't like me that much." She confirmed. The 14 year old dirty blonde looked shocked while Mandy was laughing.
"Did they get in trouble?" Mandy asked once her laughter was under control. Riley nodded. "Yes. Lama Su is...angry with their behavior." She paused, looking through the corridor to make sure no one was there. "But I think it was nice. You should have seen Hunter's face when the trooper called me a Nerfherder!"
Riley giggled, remembering how Hunter looked like he was going to kill the trooper with his steak knife. "What about the one with glasses? What did he do?" Anna asked. "Oh Tech, he somehow managed to fling a green bean into the trooper's ear."
Anna's eyes went big as she tried to hold her laughter. "Girls! Get over here and help with the chores!" Riley heard her mother yell from behind camera view.
"Well that's mum. Bye Riley!" Mandy said. "Bye RI!" Anna waved and shut off the transmitter, ending the call. Riley sighed and put the transmitter in the pocket of her pants and walked out of the corridor towards the cadet's barracks.
She punched in the code and door opened. "Alright, you four have training in 10 minutes. Get ready and let's go." She said as she entered.
"Yes ma'am!" Hunter spoke as he rushed to grab something out of his desk. The other boys nodded their heads and stood by the door ready to leave.
"Come along, Hunter." Riley urged, holding her hand out towards him. Hunter ran towards her and wearily took her hand in his. Riley smiled and led the boys to the training facility.

The cadet's training went...okay. Wrecker might have gone a little too hard on Crosshair.
"I don't need help." Crosshair grumbled. "Oh hush up you di'kut, you're hurt let me help you." Riley insisted, trying to grab Crosshair's arm.
"Kriff you." He cursed. Riley looked at him shocked. "Excuse you, you do not use that kind of language!" She scolded him. Crosshair scoffed and crossed his arms.
"Why do you act like you care about us?" He suddenly asked. Riley looked at him sadly and kneeled down so they were eye level. "Cross, I do care about you. All of you. You might think I don't, but I do." She sighed and put her hands on Crosshair's shoulders firmly.
"Don't tell anyone but... you and your brothers are my favorite cadets I've ever taken care of." She whispered, just loud enough so that he could hear it. Crosshair's eyes lit up and he looked at her with disbelief.
"Yes it's true, kiddo. Now please, let me see your arm?" She spoke. Crosshair nodded and held his arm out to her. Riley smiled softly and examined his arm.
"It's probably sprained but we should take you to see a medic, just in case." She told him. Crosshair nodded his head and dropped his arm back to his side. "Can..can I hold your hand on the way?" He asked shyly.
"Of course, come on let's go." She urged, Crosshair grabbed her hand and they walked out of the room. "Boys come on!" She shouted. Wrecker, Tech, and Hunter all followed behind them.
