It was peaceful on the Havoc Marauder, actually peaceful for once. Everyone was asleep cuddled up together, happy that everyone was okay. The ship was set a course to back to Cato Nemoidia so no one had to worry about flying for extended hours.
The only bad thing was that the bed everyone was sleeping on was tiny. Thus, Riley was squashed in the middle, Omega was laying on top of her, Hunter was squished into her left side, Crosshair on her right, Tech was in a similar position to Omega, slightly on top on Riley, Wrecker was actually sat on the floor, leaning against the bed. However Riley somehow managed to be able to hold his hand. Echo was on the very edge of the bed, he would have fallen off but somehow Riley managed to have a tight hold on him.
Riley was at peace, if she were to die right now, she'd be happy. All of her kids, here with her. It took 4 years but it was worth it, she even got 2 new kids, Echo and Omega.
Echo, although still warming up to her, was incredibly sweet. Riley could tell
he's a giant cinnamon roll. She also could tell that he had some insecurities. He was worried people wouldn't like him for what he is. It was sad, Echo shouldn't have to feel that way, especially with someone as kind and understanding as Riley.Omega was probably the cutest kid Riley had seen. She reminded her of the boys when they were little, she shared traits with all of them really. Riley knew growing up with a bunch of guys would have it's difficulties so thankfully Riley had already asked her sisters to look for adoption papers.
She really did love the batch, and always would. No matter how big they got. Of course she also knew that because of their rapid aging they would end up getting much older than her, but that only encouraged her to spend more time with them. She knew she at least had Omega to be with her for a while, so she was content with walking Omega through her teenage years and eventually adulthood. Riley could just imagine Omega coming home one day to reveal her new significant other.
Riley smiled at the thought of Hunter getting worked up over Omega being in a relationship. He was so protectiver over her, more so than his brothers.
Riley hoped the boys would be able to get love lives, it would do them some good. Riley also just wanted grandchildren, but the boys didn't have to know that.

Everyone lay peacefully on the small bed, not moving or making a sound. They were all awake by now, they just simply chose not to get up.
Riley lie beneath the boys, twirling a strand of Omega's hair whilst humming some unknown tune. The others didn't mind. It brought a calmness to them, one they hadn't felt in a long time. They didn't ever want to get up. If they did, they'd have to go back to work and fighting. It sounded lazy but the boys were tired. Fighting for the entirety of your short life can have a toll on you. So for now, the Bad Batch just relaxed in their mother's arms, slowly being lulled back to sleep.
Of course it had to be ruined by a holocall.
The loud beeping of the comm rang through the ship. It actually scared everyone, Echo even falling off the edge of the bed and landing on top of Wrecker with an oof. Riley groggily sat up, her stitches protesting. "You okay Ech'ika?" She mumbled, rubbing her eyes.
Echo got off of Wrecker and stood up. "Yeah I'm fine—wait did you just call me little Echo?" Echo said, staring at Riley in bewilderment. "Did I? I didn't notice." Riley shrugged. Echo still stared at her, confusion written all over his face.
