Who should you look for?
Well I have a long set of questions you should ask about them first. It might be best to copy them in a notebook for later to.
1. Are they a Christian?
2. Are they striving to follow Jesus?
3. Are they someone you get along with?
4. Can you see them in your future?
5. Do they love God before anything else?
6. Who are they?
7. Do they have a healthy prayer life?
8. Do they encourage you in your faith or tear it down?
9. What is their life goal?
10. What is most important to them?
11. Are they a genuine follower of Christ? Now I know what you are thinking,
I'm not interviewing them for a job!
But aren't you? I mean being a wife\husband is big. You need to make sure that they can handle it. Who they are in Christ should be so important to you. If they cannot love Christ correctly they will never love you rightly.Correct answers should be
1. Yes they are.
2. Yes they love him with their whole heart.
3. Yes we can get along and work together in life
4. Yes I can see myself marrying them.
5. Yes
6. You know what the answer should be.
7. Yes they pray every day and make time for God daily.
8. They encourage me and build me in my faith.
9. The same as mine
10. This should also be similar to them.
11. Yes you can see in their life they they follow God. Not just in church but everywhere else too.So test them! If they don't last they are not ready to love you!
Remember you can never have to high of standards! Infact how high can you build them? If you put them to low anyone might just past them.
