waiting for them

The world pushes us as Christians to date this person and that person. A question I am often asked by my unchristian family is, is there anybody you like right now?

No! Okay. You don't have to have a crush on someone or even date at all!
To go into a relationship because you like someone will most likely lead to hurt. A relationship should start with the Bible. In song of Solomon Solomon's lover many times says, do not stir up not awaken love until it arises. That means that you don't go looking for them. I have a quote that I have been saying for years that helps with this too.

If I follow God's will I will always end up where I NEED to be.

Need to be not want. God will lead them to you! The most beautiful part is that we don't have to date people to find out if we want to marry them. We can trust God.

To wait for your future spouse shows amazing love and commitment. If you just date every guy/girl that crosses your path it's not much different than the world. And another thing my family has told me that is wrong is,

Don't you want to sleep with them first to know if you like it?

Uh no not really. We are called to be pure. In the bible you'll notice how it points out repetitively that the women was a virgin. You should not have sex before marriage. I encourage you all to wait for your future spouse. It is beautiful when you do. It shows amazing love and commitment when you do.

The world says you are less when you wait. The bible says it's a shame if you don't wait. The world says to date and the bible says it is beautiful when you don't. It is not bad it is actually beautiful and that is what I'm trying to show you. If you are waiting for them you are not less you are more.

So with this said,

Don't date around and don't go into a relationship unless you are looking for marriage. Save yourself for them.
Look at who you like and not just why you like them. Wait for God's timing and not yours. God's timing will be perfect and the best for you. If God hasn't brought them along yet it's probably because your not ready for marriage. So get yourself ready.

Remember that God says we are the bride of Christ, so if your ot married on earth you'll be married in heaven. Sometimes waiting is not pointless. And God found Adam a wife. I'm pretty sure that finding your spouse will be easy for him.

Waiting for your spouse is amazing and beautiful. You are not less if you wait for them.
