Chapter 1

Harry was stressed. Entirely and utterly stressed out. He was about to go into heat, but his best friend and roommate were not here to help him. Their other roommate went back home to deal with some family issues and also wasn't here at the time. He doesn't have anyone to spend his heat with, but he and Liam are always there to bring food and water for each other's heat. Liam also knows how much Harry hates his heat, especially initially, so he would stay with Harry on the first day. They had problems with Liam's mate when he found out Liam did that for Harry, but after a few weeks of getting to know Harry and Liam's dynamic, he found out they are nothing but best friends, basically brothers.

Since kindergarten, Liam and Harry have been friends; when Harry was walking with his head down and tripped and brained himself on the glass door. Liam was the only one who didn't laugh at him, and from there, a strong friendship was born.

Although Liam is an omega, he is Harry's protector, and the two stuck together through everything. People often believed that they were dating growing up due to how close the two were and how protective they were. The assumptions got worse when the two came out as gay, and some of their classmates bet on how long it would be until they started dating.

To their classmates, when they did date for a while, no one knew. Mainly because it was so new but lasted about three weeks, they realized that yes, they did love each other but not in a romantic way. It was more in a brotherly way. Their romantic relationship felt very awkward for the two, but it was confirmed that they were both gay.

Now they often laugh back at those times, and it certainly didn't help the relationship between Harry and Liam's mate, Zayn. Zayn and Harry had a rocky start. Due to Harry's protective nature when it comes to Liam. It took the omega about three months to lower his guard around Zayn and become more friendly with him. Zayn didn't make it easier for Harry because he was often cold towards Harry thinking Harry had some underlining feelings for Liam. The two didn't get out any of that aside until Liam had enough, and they spent an entire night talking everything out. In the end, Zayn admires the strength of the omega and is glad Liam had someone like Harry around.

Harry is naturally nervous about everything and everyone. He never really felt any love and support from anyone in his life except from Liam. His mother died giving birth to him, and his father was nothing but cold to him. He would often use his alpha voice on Harry and verbally, mentally and emotionally abuse Harry. He became very anxious and jittery, especially around alphas which was another reason Harry was hard on Zayn. Liam helped Harry a lot, but he was never fully healed and had thought that he probably never would. The only time he had ever fought an alpha was when Liam needed the help. It was adrenaline that got him through it, and then he and Liam cuddled to try to calm their wolves.

However, Harry is pacing the living room, hoping Liam will walk through those doors. Liam was supposed to be back. He told Harry that he would be back. He was supposed to have gone out for a job interview at a bar and was supposed to be back about half an hour ago, but he is still not here. Harry is coming closer and closer to his heat and almost reaching the point where he isn't even coherent anymore.

He checked his watch and the front door religiously until he couldn't wait anymore. He runs to his room and sprays himself with alpha spray and grabs his phone, keys and wallets and walks out of the flat. He knows this is a bad idea, but he is not coherent enough to care too much about it. He is happy that their flat is not far from the bar and is within walking distance.

He runs towards the bar and constantly shakes his head as if that would help clear his head.

Louis's life had been going well up until about three months ago. He had a good job. He is the CEO of his own company that he built himself. His company is climbing the ranks, and it is doing well. He has good friends and family and none of that unnecessary drama in his life. Best of all, he had an omega by his side. The omega he thought he was about to marry. The omega was the love of his life, but apparently, that was not written in his life journey.
