Tsubasa
After the final exams were over, the class had decided as a whole to go to the mall to prepare for the incoming summer trip that they were all going on. Aizawa was very strict in saying that Tsubasa was not allowed to accompany them to the mall since they did not want to make the public afraid.
Tsubasa looked like he was pouting despite the lack of expression that their face would allow. Bakugo brushed off the offer to go to the mall to go home instead. 'I already have all that shitty outdoor stuff!" Bakugo argued when Kaminari questioned him.
Once they had arrived, they all separated to go to different places inside the mall. Which left Midoriya looking around the first level of the mall with no real distinct place.
'I can get a snack for Tsubasa? Oh! Maybe he would like one of those bags of shrimp fries. He used to love eating those,' Izuku thought to himself before he bumped into someone wearing a black hoodie.
"Oh, I'm sorry, sir," Midoriya apologized quickly to the hooded figure.
"Hey, weren't you at that sports fest? I'm a big fan."
"O-oh," Midoriya stuttered a bit from the attention on him. The person had their face hidden underneath the bangs of their hair. "Um, thank you. Well, I should get going so..."
A hand wrapped around his throat as soon as he turned away. "Now, hero, you will come with or else I will start killing anyone I can reach."
"You..!" Midoriya glanced to see the familiar cracked face from his experience at the USJ. "Shigaraki."
Shigaraki's scratchy voice whispered right next to his ear, "What will it be?"
Midoriya choked on his next breath, scared to breath too harshly or else Shigaraki's finger would come into contact with his skin. "Fine."
Shigaraki started to guide him to sit by a fountain until a strong and terrifying familiar screech echoed in the mall. The screech was followed by civilians screaming in shock and the sound of heavy footsteps trampling towards them. Shigaraki turned around which made Izuku glanced to see what was happening.
Only for him to see the wings peeking out of a large cloaked figure. A lot of people in the floor started to rush away from the figure, heading towards the shops or straight towards the exit to get away.
"Tsubasa?"
"Who?" Shigaraki asked in confusion before the cloak ripped off finally when the wings fully spread. "Oh, that one. Wait, you named it."
"He's my friend! And he already had a name," Midoriya folded his arms. He watched as Tsubasa stalked closer while he continued to look increasingly threatening with his wings spanning out long. "I'm just using it like a polite person unlike you."
"Okay. Wow. Did not expect a side quest like this to happen," Shigaraki scratched his neck before stopping with a grin. "I can use this to my advantage."
"Nomu!"
Midoriya looked back to see Tsubasa pause in his walk, their neck jerking to the side. Izuku watched as Shigaraki's grip started to loosen around his neck until he fully let go and pushed him into the fountain. Midoriya tripped backwards, landing into the water as Shigaraki started to command them.
"Atta—."
"Don't do it, Tsubasa!" Midoriya yelled out.
"Nomu, attack and kill." Shigaraki pointed to him as Tsubasa trained their unfocused eyes on Izuku. Midoriya stumbled back as Tsubasa started to walk faster towards him with unsteady long legs.
"Tsubasa, Stop!" Midoriya called out only to receive a twitch in response. Gritting his teeth, he tried to follow Shigaraki's body language. He pushed himself out of the water to stand tall as Tsubasa crept closer to him until their exposed brain was in reach. If need be, he could punch him right in the brain to stun him at least. Izuku breathed in and firmly said, "Nomu. This is an order. Stop."
With a breath, Tsubasa stopped in his tracks, their eyes still glazed over, but no longer approaching him with deadly purpose. "Tsubasa. This is your last order: You will no longer listen to the orders of anyone."
The change was slow at first with Tsubasa straightening up until their eyes seemed less unfocused. Midoriya couldn't hear Shigraki's whines until Tsubasa had suddenly screamed and took off into the air.
And then Shigtakis' distant whines were replaced by the sound of him yelling as Tsubasa flew straight up. Midoriya looked up to see Shigaraki held tightly by his feet in Tsubasa's claws as they flew through the skylight above the mall.
Midoriya covered his head as a shower of glass rained down in the middle of the mall as Shigaraki's loud cursing shouts seemed to fade. The soggy pants he was wearing were slowly sweeping into his socks which was really uncomfortable.
"Deku!"
Midoriya whipped his head around to see Iida marching towards him with Uraraka in the lead. "Are you okay? We heard a crash and—,"
Tsubasa's familiar screech filled the area as he came back with his claws speckled with blood from when he undoubtedly punctured Shigraki's legs. Tsubasa perched right on top of the fountain as Uraraka and Iida looked up at him.
"Of course it had something to do with them," Iida sighed, pushing up his glasses as Uraraka looked between the bloody claws and Izuku for an explanation.
"So..." Izuku trailed off, hearing the distinct police sirens outside. "...it's a long story."
