we meet again

He sat on the edge of the pathway, by now he was halfway up to where the shrine was. He looked out at the few of watatsumi island as he began to play a tune with the leaf since he thought he was the only one there right now. His eyes closed as he played the tune with the green leaf.

Not realizing there was another set of ears hearing the music nearby...

Kazuha had finished playing the tune letting the leaf fly with the wind from his fingertips, he kept his eyes shut enjoying the moment of silence he was having. But due to how silent and calm he currently was, it was easy for him to hear a noise come from behind the bush. It couldn't have been an animal it was far too loud, or so big. He let out a sigh as he brought himself up to his feet, his back facing where the noise came from. Waiting to see if another mishap of the being hiding would happen, as he didn't want to seem like a fool to himself if it was all in his head.

Both fortunately and unfortunately... There was another noise from behind the bush and a small 'ow' from whoever was hiding. Although even from just a small ow Kazuha could tell who was hiding now. Not just cause of that but he also noticed a bit of brown fur sticking out from the bush when he turned around, He stayed there as he thought. Leaning himself downwards so his head would be next to Gorou's, he continued to look forward
"For a general, you're not the best at hiding your tail," He said quietly like a whisper.

The male with the ears and tail of a fluffy dog looked at Kazuha and smiled at him. "Well, I wasn't hiding from a threat." The General of Watatsumi Army stood up brushing any dirt or leaves that had stuck to him, rubbing some dirt off of his exposed skin. "I simply just didn't want to disturb your peace," he said, trying to prove his point even tho Kazuha didn't even ask why he was hiding.
"That was very kind of you," Kazuha replied to Gorou's words."It's been a while since we last saw each other...if you're available, Would you like to join me on my walk?"

The brown-haired males' fluffy ears perked up without him purposely doing so, causing him to get a bit flustered from embarrassment. Although the first thing he noticed was his ears, not having any knowledge of the fact his tail did a small swing from excitement.

But Kazuha noticed, left it unsaid as Gorou already seemed embarrassed enough, despite the fact it was only them both there. The white-haired male didn't quite understand why the other was so embarrassed, it wasn't the first time he witness Gorou get excited over something small.

"Kazuha? Are you alright? You zoned out after you asked me to join you on your walk" Gorou asked, looking at The male who was lost in thought.
"Ah apologizes. Let's begin our walk" Kazuha smiled softly at Gorou as he turned around, beginning to walk back down the path he had just walked up.

Gorou nodded, starting to walk next to Kazuha, glancing around before looking at Kazuha "What brings you back to Inazuma?"

"Beidou had come here as a request of Lady Ningguangs." He replied.

The entire walk was just them talking back n forth, catching up, and seeing how each other has been.

While talking, Kazuha had noticed that whenever he'd ask his friend about himself, or just how he was feeling he would get nervous or try to change the topic. This made Kazuha confused and curious but he didn't bother asking about it, as if Gorou wanted him to know what was wrong. He would've said it already, or perhaps he didn't want to bother the white-haired male with his problems, which caused Kazuha to get lost in thought. Thinking of possible ways that could make Gorou act that way

"Kazuha watch out!" Gorou said a little loud as he tried to grab his friend's arm but he was too late. The white-haired male had already walked off of the pathway's edge into the water, he stood up taking a small breath since he wasn't paying attention to anything before he fell. Gorou's semi-loud voice is what snapped him back to reality. And falling underwater obviously, he looked up at Gorou who was kneeling on the bridge looking at him with a look of concern "Are you alright?" He asked
He answered with a nod rather than words. Pushing his now wet hair back, holding it there so it would stay out of his face "Perhaps I should pay attention to where I am stepping too" Kazuha quietly chuckled. Moving his palm away from his hair letting it fall back onto his face as he climbed out of the water looking at Gorou who just finished walking over the small bridge. Which didn't take long since it was a short one

Kazuha reached behind his head with his left hand, taking out his side ponytail and letting his hair fall flat to dry. Looking at his friend, getting a confused expression on his face.

"Gorou are you alright...? You're fairly red"
"Yeah! Just...a bit warm. Let's continue our walk!" Not even letting Kazuha give a response, Gorou began to walk.

Kazuha looked even more confused but shook it off, after all, it's not of his business if Gorou was speaking the truth or not. But he just kept getting more curious as to why Gorou acted this was so randomly. Quickly shaking his head so he didn't begin thinking of it despite how badly he wanted to figure it out.

The rest of the walk was just silence and Gorou didn't look at Kazuha once, Well. that's what Kazuha thought at least, Whenever he would look away or seem to not be paying any attention to the male with fluffy ears. Gorou would look at him for a few seconds almost as if he wanted to admire his features...That's how it was for about three hours until Kazuha stopped walking looked up at the sky noticing the sunset happening
"It's getting late. I should head back to the crux now." He spoke, breaking the silence.
"Ah, alright. I w-"
"I'll walk the rest of the way myself, you should head back before it becomes darker. Don't want you falling into the water as well" Kazuha said, cutting what Gorou was saying off. Gorou couldn't help but let out a chuckle, He nodded and they said their goodbyes before parting ways

A few hours passed by, and Kazuha was laying on the edge of the ship looking out at the water that had a small shine from the reflection of the moon. Folding his arms over his stomach as he relaxed there. He preferred to relax outside where he would feel a bit of wind rather than on a bed caged away from the breeze. It was much easier to relax here now rather than when everyone on the crux was awake, so he took the opportunity and decided to stay up later and clear his mind. Turning his head away from the water looking up at the stars, thinking a bit to himself. "It's been so long since we have last seen each other Kunikuzushi...How are you still all I think about" He whispered to himself as he closed his eyes to try and get some rest

 As for Gorou, he was far from getting any sleep despite the fact he needed to as he has to wake up before sunrise. Being curled up in a fetal position while hugging his fluffy tail, his eyes shut trying to fall asleep but he was too busy thinking about his feelings for Kazuha that he thought faded away when his friend left Inazuma last time. Yet the moment he saw him again, all those feelings that he thought were gone...came back.
