Broken Promises: Sequel to I'll Never Leave You

Chapter 3

You kicked and struggled, trying to fend off whoever had grabbed you. You tried to get a good elbow to the attackers ribs, but they blocked it and just held you tighter.

" Shhhh, ( Y/n ) it's me!"

Recognizing Carrie's voice, you stopped fighting, allowing her to remove her hand from your face and let go of you. You turned to face her and gasped.

" Carrie what happened to your face?!"

There, trailing from her right eyebrow all the way to the side of her nose lay a big scratch. 

" Oh that...we got a few new uh, roommates." 

Your face paled.

" More killers...?"

She nodded her head shyly. 

" Yeah, a pair of twins actually, they call themselves Vincent and Bo."

All you could do was nod, already dreading having to encounter more murderers. Carrie then quickly grabbed your hand, practically carrying you into her room. 

" I heard someone coming." Was all she said. She used her powers to grab a notebook and some paper, and began to write things down.

" What're you writing?" You asked, eyebrows raised.

" Well we'll need a plan if we're going to get Norman back, won't we?"

" True true. Do you know where he could have been taken?" 

Carrie nodded. " Yeah, right before he was captured, him and Hannibal were discussing these weird child disappearances. Hannibal thought that maybe something paranormal was taking the kids, he wanted to go investigate and possibly bring whatever was doing it back here."

" He...He went actively went searching for something dangerous, so he could...?"

" Experiment on it, see what it was. Nothing he's read up on matches the children disappearances,   he thinks whatever it is must be centuries old."

Your roll your eyes, of course he wants to do something weird. 

" No surprises there." You respond dryly. Carrie gives you a weak smile, which you return. 

" So, did you hear where Norman was supposed to investigate?" You pry, hoping that you at least had a town name. 

" Yeah....I think I heard Hannibal say something about a town named Derry." 

You nodded at Carrie's words. 

" Alright, so when should we go?" Carrie pondered her answer for a minute before responding.

" As soon as tonight, we don't want the others to see you, they'll go crazy." Just then there was a knock on the door.

" Carrie, who're you talking to in there?"

" N-No one Danny, don't worry about it."

" You don't honestly expect me to believe that?" The man responded, before opening the door.
