Jasper

Jasper groaned as sun hit the corner of his pillow, disturbing his sleep as it fell on his shut eyes.

Wincing, he checked the time. 7:00am. He cursed quietly into his pillow. He expected to at least wake up at around 9. He still had a slight headache buzzing through his skull from the night before, and a forgotten visitor laying next to him as he turned.

He sighed at the sight. Her dirty blonde hair was slightly matted and messy as it rested over her sunken eyes. He was not ashamed to say that for the life of him, he could not remember what this girl's name was. Well, great, he thought as he slowly snuck out of his bed.

Although forgotten, it was not unexpected for Jasper to have a girl in his bed every other Monday morning; his nightly escapades becoming an important part of his youthful routine. Go out, drink a bit, charm a girl, take her home and do it all again the next day, next time with someone new.

So that's exactly what he planned to do again today as he slipped into the bathroom. He felt slightly awkward as he waited behind the door. He's never had to actually ask a girl to leave the next day. By the time he wakes up, she's usually already gone. But it was so damn early that of course she was still passed out from their late night activities.

He felt almost guilty thinking about possibly humiliating her and asking her to leave. But as suddenly as the feeling came, it left without hesitation. He decided that after a quick shower he would just wake her up and tell her that he had things to do today. As simple as shooing away a bird from a window sill.

He wrapped a towel around the lower half of his body as he opened the door back to the main bedroom. Steam filled the air and clouded his vision.

"Um, hi there—"

Once the remaining steam had cleared, he looked down at his bed to see only messy sheets and no girl. He shifted towards the sound of a slight click from the door. He let out a breathy chuckle. He was relieved that he managed to escape a gruelling conversation with a girl he couldn't care less about.

He couldn't help but smirk. Luck always seemed to favour him.

God it felt good to be Jasper William Wright.
