Once upon a time... there was a young girl named Cinderella who was forced to clean and look after her step mother and stepsisters despite her stepmothers promise with her dying father to look after Cinderella as one of her own. Cinderella faced cruel and wicked treatment every day, being locked in the cellar all night, her only friends the mice that nibbled on the ends of her tattered clothes. Despite the mistreatment she faced, she remained kind to those around her. One day, word of a ball spread to find the new queen of the kingdom, the lady chosen would marry the handsome prince. Cinderella longed to go, she didn't care if she met with the prince or not, she just wanted to have fun. So with a little elbow grease she was able to restore her mothers old gown."Oh isn't it just lovely" Cinderella gushed to her step sisters, she was excited to show them the dress she worked so hard on.
"Hmm it is quite lovely indeed however I believe that's my necklace" one sneered, ripping the Preakness off Cinderellas neck.
"Yes and that's my blouse" the other said ripping the front of the dress Cinderella worked so hard on. Piece by piece the dress was ripped to share ads right in front of Cinderellas eyes as she could only watch in horror. Cinderellas step sisters left for the ball, cackling as they did. Cinderella was left to weep on the cold floor by herself.
"My my this simply won't do... don't you deserve a happy ending? I can help with that"

"Princess Y/n, it's time to wake up" an unfamiliar voice called out from somewhere. Y/n opened her eyes slowly, displeased with being awoken from such a deep sleep. Stretching her arms Y/n sat up slowly rubbing her eyes, her h/c locks were all tangled from what must of been a long night of tossing and turning in bed. Y/n looked around her surroundings, immediately shocked that she couldn't recognise anything.
'This isn't my room'
Y/n immediately scrambled out of bed to look in the mirror. Her e/c and s/t and face were all familiar to her but her mind was drawing a blank as to who she could possibly be.
"Princess y/n are you up?" The voice says again knocking on the door with urgency.
'I'm a princess? Then the person outside must be my servant? Maybe they could help me' Y/n thought to herself biting the nail of her thumb. She was scared, she didn't know who or where she was, or what role she played here.
"Enter" Y/n called out to the voice, her voice shaking with nerves. The large door opened revealing a plump maid with rosey cheeks and a wide smile.
"It's good to see you up at a reasonable hour today Princess" the maid jokes as she goes to open the curtains to let the sun in.
"I... I trust you right?" Y/n asked nervously as she softly shutter the door so they would not be distributed whilst Y/n had this discussion. From the sounds of it, Y/n was important in this world. She didn't know the exact extent of her importance but she didn't want to risk any sort of problems occurring.
"Well I would hope so" the maid said giggling. "I've only been your nanny for the whole of your life" she said smiling. Y/n felt a bit more relieved now, she had someone who knows her well, hopefully she won't feel lost anymore.
"I'm sorry but-", before she could finish her sentence, tears began to flood her eyes, the situation felt much worse all of a sudden.
"Y/n dear what's wrong?" The maid said rushing to her side as Y/n slouched down to the floor trying to wipe the tears from her eyes. "Everything will be okay just tell me what's wrong" the maid said as she stroked Y/n's messy hair to try and calm her down.
