It is an amusing concept honestly. Or should he say frightening concept really. Space and all the mechanics that go into holding it in place. Of all the organisms that are abled to exist within it. Of how gravity keeps them from floating directionless in the never ending abyss.

And yet, gravity seemed to be absent in his mind as his thoughts floated around, travelling at the speed of light before he can even grasp what he is thinking. He took a breath, trying to bring gravity back, trying to settle his mind.

It had been two years.

Two years since the lions have disappeared. Two years of peace and prosperity though out the universe. Two years of constant missions, of learning his mother's heritage, his heritage, of learning of more planets, of helping to dispel the last of the Galra, and he was tired.

Don't get him wrong, he loved his work. It kept him busy, something to occupy him, to keep him from thinking to much about his longing to go home. He really did try to hide it, honest. It just got to a point where he could not hide if form his mother and his (step? He would like further clarification on this particular subject, please and thank youfather. An intervention was had and he was then dragged onto his mother's ship kick and grumbling (His version of screaming. He has more dignity than that. Axca disagreed as she filmed the who thing).

So now he was on his way home. Krolia gave her son a considering look from her seat in the pilots chair. "Why didn't you want to go home? A real reason this time please."

Keith let a sigh out as he folded his legs to his chest, resting his head on his knees, staring straight ahead. "I was working, you know this."

"Yotarō. The truth Keith." He sighed again, closing his eyes.

"It did not feel like home. I needed the escape. To be away from the parties, from my brother, from the team, from her. It became too much. I felt trapped. Everything was just off, and I knew that if I stayed I would lash out. The war was, is, still fresh, the nightmares only just started to calm down. I just needed to be Keith Kogane, not the black or red paladin leader of Voltron."

She hummed to herself. "Did you get what you wanted?"

"Yes."

"The price?"

"Loneliness."

They remained silent for the rest of the day.

"Have you ever thought to ask her out?" Lovely way to wake up really. He groaned. He knew it would not escape her attention. "Should I take that as no?"

"I tried not to think about it." He said as he rubbed his eyes and yawned as he stretched. "Have you seen Kosmo?" He asked, only know realizing the absence of the wolf.

"He went ahead. I asked him to drop a message to the garrison. We should be entering Earth atmosphere in ten minutes. Why have you not thought about it, by the way?" She was not going to drop it, and because she was petty, she would delay their arrival until she got her answer.

"Has this whole trip been an intervention? An interrogation? Because I feel like I'm being interrogated." Deflection his friend.

"Yurak." He winced. Government name. "Why? You are clearly in love with her. What could you possibly lose?" Ha! Famous last words.

"My dignity? My ability to speck? My ability to compose a single articulate thought? I really do not know what I could possible lose." He made a British impression to truly convey the sarcasm on that last sentence. Krolia huffed.

"Just," a breath, "tonight, when it is quite, take her out for a ride through the desert. Miles away from the garrison, then talk to her. Talk to her like her friend, let the rest follow."
