"So, you're really going to marry him?" Katya asks. She walks with Trixie down a busy street in Boston lined with stores. Trixie stops in front of a Bridal shop and look down at the list she is carrying. She printed out all the names of the most reputable places and was hauling Katya to each and every one. So far, they had been to two of them with no luck. The employees weren't much help, and nothing had caught Trixie's eye.
"Yes, Katya, I am." She replies, impatiently. She leans against the brick wall of the building, sighing. This was neither the time nor place to be having this discussion.
"Well, what about us?" Katya stands in front of Trixie, hands shoved into her pockets. She absentmindedly kicks a rock at the wall. She didn't think all the wedding planning would start so soon. She needs more time to sort her conflicted feelings of letting Trixie go or pleading with her to leave Alex so she could have Trixie to herself. She looks at Trixie with sad, anxious eyes.
"Is there really even an 'us'?" Trixie looks away from Katya's large, peering eyes.
"It sure as hell feels like it. You spend more time with me than him." Katya leans in closer to Trixie, hissing under her breath. "And we have loads more sex. If it wasn't for that big rock on your finger, no one would even think you two were together."
"We're just having fun. You even called yourself a womanizer so you can just add my name to the long list you already have." Trixie shoots back. She doesn't mean to sound so bitchy, but she doesn't appreciate Katya rubbing the huge mistake she's made in her face. "Once Alex and I are married, you and I are going to be family and we're going to act like it."
Katya steps back, crossing her arms. She narrows her eyes and looks Trixie up and down.
"Like you'll be able to keep your hands off me."
"Considering it's your hands that are usually all over me, I don't think I'll have a problem." Trixie cocks her head, giving Katya a devilish smile.
"Hey, I can't help it if you're such a bottom." Katya smirks. She's glad to see Trixie trying to hold back her own smile as she enters the door of the next shop on her list.
Katya lazily runs her fingers down one of the overly elegant dresses on the rack, already bored. She doesn't understand why people would want to, and willingly, spend thousands of dollars on something so frivolous and that you only wear once.
"Excuse me miss, is there anything I can help you find?" An older saleswoman asks Katya politely.
"Oh, uh, no." Katya points to Trixie flipping through dresses further down the aisle. "I'm with her."
Trixie looks up and makes her way over, thankful this place actually has people doing their jobs. She stops next to Katya and smiles at the lady. The lady looks between the two and smiles big. "Well, aren't you two darlings! It's always nice to see couples like you out and proud!" She gushes.
"Oh we're-" Trixie starts, about to correct the lady's mistake.
"We're very proud. I just can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle and into my arms in front of our family and friends." Katya finishes, wrapping her arm around Trixie's waist and pulling her in close. Trixie shoots her a glare, but Katya flashes a wicked grin, and kisses her on the cheek.
"How sweet!" The lady gushes, placing her hand on her heart. "My name's Dela and I'd love to help you find the perfect dress." She pulls out a small pad of paper and pen from her pocket. "And your names are?"
