Episode 9-We Have Not Long to Love

At the compound...

Klaus's voice-over: "The curse that plagued our family for seven years has taken its toll on all of us. On our city. On our home. On our family."

In the dining room, Klaus, Freya, Hope and Faith are having a nice breakfast together...

"The consequences of us being together were grave, but today, thanks to you girls, we celebrate a new beginning. One in which we have the freedom to stand side by side. And whatever trials may come, we will face them together, as a family. Always and forever." Klaus said

They all raise up their glasses up then drink their orange juice.

"Would you please pass the beignets?" Hope asked

"Of course." Freya said

She picks up the plate and sets it in front of Hope.

Hope smiles as she and Faith grab one.

"So, Rebekah will be back in a few days. She's just tying up some loose ends overseas." Klaus said

Faith smiles and says. "It'll be nice to have her here."

"It'll be good to have all of us under one roof again." Freya said

Klaus smiles but it soon drops when Elijah walks into the room.

"Good morning. Obviously, there is a lot for us to discuss. Hope and Faith, let me begin by telling you girls how truly sorry..." Elijah said

Hope clearly angry, bends a fork with her mind as Faith makes a light bulb explode.

"Thanks for breakfast, guys, but we have homework to catch up on." Hope said as she and Faith stand up.

With that, Hope and Faith walk out of the room.

Klaus notices the bend fork and broken light bulb and says. "That's not normal. They're not normal."

"They lost their mother, Niklaus. I shouldn't have come down here." Elijah said

"At least you can claim amnesia, unlike our sister, who willingly aided two children in ruining their lives." Klaus said

"Hope and Faith are not two children." Freya said

"Did you even consider what absorbing all that magic could do to them?" Klaus asked

"And what choice did I have?" Freya asked

"Deny them. Defy them. We had a plan to keep the dark magic away from them." Klaus said

"A plan that wasn't working." Freya said

"Yes, well, thanks to you, the magic has them now. So, if my daughters should be harmed in any way, shape or form, I will hold you personally responsible." Klaus said

He then gets up from the table and storms off.

Meanwhile at Rousseau's, Marcel and Josh are cleaning up the mess in the wake of Hope and Faith's spell.

"Looks like Emmett and his nightwalkers rode out the storm on your dime." Marcel said

"Yeah. Is it wrong that I want to boil everything in bleach? Hey, tell me... what part of "I hate everything you stand for" do you think gave them the "mi casa, su casa" vibe?" Josh said

"Yeah, that's the thing. They don't care what you think. Or what anybody else thinks, for that matter." Marcel said

They find a message from Greta's followers, calling themselves the Citizens for the Safety of New Orleans.

Moments later in a back alley street...

Lisina and Keelin react to the flyer of the vampires reclaiming the city.
