This is SHORT as hell but I kept thinking about it every time I listened to Boyfriend by Dove Cameron. I might do a part two but I dunno. So enjoy this little update while I continue to write other things haha
The pack decided to go out tonight. Stiles had convinced Scott and Isaac to join him and his girlfriend Cameron. Scott convinced the rest of the pack. But Stiles sat by himself at the bar while she dances with so many different people, boys and girls, that he's lost count. He nursed his watered down cocktail and let his mind drift.
Derek came up behind him, hand resting on his back as he grabbed his glass and moved it toward the inside of the bar, "Can you get him a better version of whatever this is."
"I was drinking that." Stiles scoffed, "and I don't need you to order for me."
"I know." He smirked, sitting next to him. "I almost went home."
"I want to." He sighed, glancing over at Cameron who was still on the dance floor with a couple girls, a little too close to consider just friends.
The bartender set a new glass in front of Stiles, looking toward Derek as if asking for his order. Top shelf bourbon, neat. The wolf let his hand wrap around Stiles' wrist, the warmth radiating through the younger's arm. He moved closer to him, "I could be a better girlfriend than her."
Stiles smirked, laughter bubbles out with irritation as he took a long drink from his glass. "I can do things that she never did. I know I don't need to tell you all the ways she doesn't suffice."
Stiles set his glass down and turned toward him, "whatever it is you want to say, just say it."
He took a long drink, looking back over at the dance floor, locking his eyes back on Stiles'. "I just never would have left you alone, glued to your phone, for someone else to take you home." His eyes dropped down to the curve of Stiles' lips, "I think I might steal you from her."
Stiles get his cheeks warm, blush covering his pale skin. "Why do you think I'd let you?"
Derek shrugged, downing the rest of his drink, "I could be a gentleman." He said standing, "plus all my clothes would fit." He spoke directly into Stiles' ear. Grabbing his jacket from the back of the chair and tossing some cash on the bar top he began to walk toward the door.
Stiles watched as he walked off, he glanced back at Cameron, eyes finding their way right back to the other man, "Derek, wait."
The wolf stopped, turning to meet his gaze. Stiles sighed, taking one last swig before getting up and catching up to Derek. The other smirked, dropping his arm around his shoulders.
