My Idol | Namkook

Chapter Three: Jealousy

Today was one of the boys' only days off, and it seemed as though Jungkook had been attached to Taehyung all day. And the situation only got worse when it was just them and Namjoon in the room. "Jungkook just flirts with everyone, doesn't he?" Namjoon thought to himself, visibly angry, as he watched JK wrap his arms around Tae and call him cute.

Truthfully, Jungkook was just doing such things in a playful manner. Unlike previously when Namjoon took his seriousness the wrong way, today JK actually was acting as the joker maknae. He didn't intend to 'flirt' with Taehyung, he was just messing around. And if there was anyone he wanted to be flirting with, it was Namjoon. However, the man himself did not know this fact, and continued to be jealous.

"Whatever happened to me being the reason for his happiness? Now he's calling V cute and ignoring me, who's been in the room this whole time. Not very loyal, huh, Jungkook?" he continued on with his dramatic thoughts. And this lasted the whole day.

Soon, dinner time came around, and Jin had cooked all the guys a delicious meal as always, and yet Namjoon, who loved food, could not focus on it at all. Jungkook had now left Taehyung, thankfully, but instead of moving onto Namjoon, he had directed his behavior to Jimin. And everyone knows that Jimin is the king of flirting, so not only was JK messing around with him, but Jimin was being just as provoking.

So Namjoon sat through that whole dinner, watching as the love of his life complimented everyone except him, and decided that two could play at that game. Even if Jungkook wouldn't get jealous of him, that didn't mean he couldn't flirt with the other members anyway. And boy did it work.

He pulled Jin, who was sitting beside him, into his arms, and acted as if this was a normal occurrence. "Thank you for the food." he said playfully, "It tastes really good." Jin smiled and allowed the other to wrap him up in his embrace, loving the feeling of being coddled. Neither of them were into each other, that was a fact they both knew, but it was nice to treat each other intimately once in a while.

Meanwhile Jungkook sat staring at them with jealousy and annoyance in his eyes, not realizing that he had been causing the same exact feeling in Namjoon all day. After all, he was just playing around, and Namjoon didn't love him, right? So what bad does it do to tease the other members a bit? At least, that's what he thought.

"Getting a bit close to each other, hmm?" JK blurted out without realizing. Namjoon and Jin looked over at him confused at his behavior.

"Is there something bad with cuddling your best friend?" Namjoon questioned, still confused but undeniably pleased with the other's reaction.

"No, I'm just saying, we're eating dinner and you're holding him like that." Jungkook stated, not really having a clear motive to his words.

"Chill, Jungkook, we're just having some fun. It's nothing to be concerned about." Jin chimed in, trying to reassure the boy of who knows what.

"I'm sorry... I overreacted... I don't know what I was thinking..." JK responded sadly.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it." And with that left two still jealous boys who didn't know the other one felt the same way, even though they definitely should've guessed by now.
